Why not? Do you seriously think Disney was gonna release a new land this year? That would be a stupid idea and I don’t know how people don’t understand this concept. Disney knows to let universal “have this omelette since they’re gonna be hurting financially as they recover the major costs of the new park and are trying to figure out operations. Universal is going to stagnate at their other parks as the money flow gets adjusted and then Disney will have a planned 2-4 summers worth of announcements that will help themThey've known for years they would have a brand new park to go up against. Two months before that new park opens is not the time to start work on new projects.
