Disney has updated the "Know Before You Go" section to note the tavern experience will be limited to 45 minutes per party:

So, they'll set up a reservation system for this like Oga's which is why I'm already over going to Oga's. Good luck finding a place to sit. Here's your drink. Guzzle it down with some yucky snacks and leave, please. Not sure this is worth the effort.

Like the logo. Loathe the name. Too similar to "Crate & Barrel" which could be resolved quickly by making "Barrel" plural - also subtly suggesting to the townspeople the tavern has multiple beverages.

Could be worse though... They could have opted for name that inferred music and song.

Had initially perceived the "The" in the name as being pretentious but it does help solidify it as bonafide place. Without it, it's just a bunch of random words thrown together. "Bar" not being present in the name is a smart choice. It's implied thanks to the Beak/Barrel allereration. That said, I still dislike the name. I think it lacks place-making. But its a minor nitpicky quibble that was fun to type out.

All said. Man, look what real Imagineers with artistic ability can create compared to the craptacular HM Leota shed signage in Disneyland.

Looks like a great hangout spot. Hope it delivers.

I honestly didn't know what that was in reference to as there was no "female pirate" in the announcement about the sign, but are we talking about the piece of concept art you can see in the link posted by Steve:

The Beak and Barrel Tavern to Feature Sing-Alongs and Storytelling at Magic Kingdom's Pirates of the Caribbean

If so, are we really getting upset a piece of artwork shown in pretty cartoony concept art is not gritty enough? Or is there something else people are talking about?

Yes
Oga's in my wife and my opinion is just a straight waste of time and dollars. I dont knw whom I feel worse for, the wait staff or myself as a customer. Bland drinks, awful almost inedible snacks (with the exception of the buzz button TaunTaun, we love peach schnapps) and artificially crowded environment. I just pray they have something with decent rum.
