When CM's have to be asked for the umpteenth time why Test Track is down during severe weather...

This just made me think. Has there ever been a direct lightning strike on an outdoor attraction at WDW? If so, what kind of damage was done?
It has happened(happens) a lot. Damage typically is minimal because lighting has direct and indirect bolts.

Lighting rods and design help minimize potential damage as best they currently can. As you start looking at taller structures you start to notice lightning rods. Against popular belief. They do not attract lightning, bht help systems and structures if they hit that first.

Went on this finally on Saturday, and I absolutely loved it. I already watched videos, because I figured it's a ride I've ridden my whole life, and how much could they have actually changed? So I wasn't surprised much when on it, but it is much better in person than the videos.

I feel bad that some people are not really liking this 3.0 version, because I honestly think it's my favorite version of the ride (and yes I grew up going on 1.0 version, and adored it)
2.0 was such a buzzkill for me that Test Track as whole kind of fell off my list of rides I go on every time I visit. With 3.0 it instantly jumped back up to one of my favorite rides in WDW and a must do every visit now!

These park guide maps are really irritating me lately, they only always feature a person instead of anything to do with the parks they are for. The announcement news piece on the front page here says Test Track now on the cover of the Epcot guide, but it's not, its two kids. How is that featuring the attraction. It doesn't showcase it or show it one bit. Same problem with MK's, another kid instead of showcasing Starlight. Who is deciding these

probably , I know its nitpicky, I just dont get the direction, it doesn't promote test track one bit or the others for their park except the evil queen on the studios one for the new show.
At least maps are still being made for free.

Disney could at any time, just like universal, decide to stop making guidemaps. I'd rather have a physical map no matter what's on it.

Probably the most impressive video from 2018 was when lightning strikes ToT...Now talk about perfect theming!😉

I love coming back to this video again and again over the years. Another video of this caliber is of an outdoor Metallica concert during a storm with a perfectly timed lightning strike during the intro to Master of Puppets 🤟
