Fair. I took the inspiration as the set design and maybe the song coming back, but if it’s just a generic “wow aren’t vehicles great?” then why even use WoM to bait nostalgia?

I do also think there could be some nods in the queue maybe even elements of the song in the queue ... but yeah, will be more about "celebrating transportation" vs recreating scenes

Because some Disney fans live on nostalgia and it sells.

See Figment…
I know, it just feels like World of Motion is a weird choice for nostalgia bait. Plus, even though Disney fans have nostalgia and a strong love for park-originals, Disney only ever seems to do merch for Figment and the Haunted Mansion. Everything else gets maybe a cup or a t shirt every few years, if it isn't sharing said singular merch piece with other things as a general parks-themed item.

Personally I liked the dinosaurs in UoE. I really liked the ride system. I wish they just reskinned that attraction instead of making it Guardians. They could have focused on the possibilities of the future of energy.

I understand why they went to Guardians. its the ongoing effort to IP everything in all parks.

UoE was sponsored by Exxon

Modern life would have been impossible, and is not possible today, without fossil fuels; oil, gas and plastic.
Ellen's was super cool, but soo long. You had to carve out 40 minutes. I miss the moving theater rides though.

That's one of the things I liked about it (and about all of original Future World)! I hate how short most of the modern attractions are.

Not that I would want most to be 30-40 minutes, but having one in a park is nice. And I desperately wish there were more 10-15 minute long rides.

See, the answer to this statement is: WDI woke up, realized WOM was the best classic EPCOT ride, and is now giving it's due.

It was really nice on a hot afternoon or when a storm was rolling in. Obviously, no one was rope dropping it but it’s definitely the type of experience that helped fill a day and make you more comfortable. The sweat almost dried by the end!

I wish I could've experienced it, Horizons, and the original Journey into Imagination 🥲 The only classic opening-day (or close to opening-day) dark ride I've experienced is Spaceship Earth and even then it's the Jibjab version lmao
