MK Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

Asking here because I can’t find any mention online- is Trixie’s original Marc Davis painting still on display in the lobby? I haven’t seen it in any POVs, and I just thought that they could’ve removed it due to her having a glass of wine- which seems weird given Big Al still has his moonshine jug that’s labeled “XXX”- making it unmistakably alcohol.

If it is gone, I hope it’s being well preserved. Would much rather have Trixie up on the walls instead of the rejected concept art bears.

Also, just realized- one month exactly from today I’ll finally be seeing the new show for the first time! I’m gonna be in Orlando for WDW.NT’s Muppet event (and to see MuppetVision one last time of course) and I figured there’d be no better time to see it!

(Warning: pure yapping below)

The only negative part of this trip is that my wife isn’t coming with me (she’s pregnant and doesn’t want to be in Orlando in June, understandably), and I FINALLY got her to come around to the bears. When we first went to Disney together in 2018 she was terrified of Wendell when we saw him outside and she thought the show was creepy (I loved it despite barely being able to hear anything- I saw it as a kid but forgot it so that viewing was basically another first time), and when we went with my family in 2023 she (and my family) vetoed my request to go see them. But now my wife actually likes them and Wendell is her favorite, lmao. She even spent an afternoon with her grandpa showing him songs from the original (the original recordings, not the shows) because she likes them so much. Probably helped that I haven’t shut up about them for the last 7 years of our 10 years together! She’s done the same thing to me with Greek mythology and true crime, so it’s even at least lmao.

It's not. Gomer's new portrait is where Trixie was

Hmm. I'm thinking the coin press was a mistake. Get your coins now before they pull the machine! But it does make you wonder... Is there a way to get them into Hungry Bear? A digital- physical hybrid show? A lone AA of Gomer on stage playing for tips and taking requests?

Hungry Bear had a refurb and reflects the new show and outfits...
I know, but if the coin were meant to be just for that it'd say "Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree" (which I believe the coin was replaced with one that says "Country Bear Barbecue Jamboree" after these 70th coins were pulled). This coin is a misprint and given how many eyes it had to go by before production, I doubt it was just an error- too many people would've had to misread "Country" as "Hungry", or if it were meant to be the original, overlook the "Musical" on the coin and the fact Henry is in his new design. Given all the Pooh closure rumors, I have a feeling this was potentially planned to be brought to Disneyland Resort and was either cancelled or delayed. Or, Disney just had every single person in the design and manufacturing process of this coin be the worst possible person for the job and they all collectively missed the glaring error.
But if it were a hint where could it go? The Grizzly Peak area in a bigger venue??
There's definitely room for a Grizzly Hall-sized theater in Grizzly Peak, which is all the show needs. The two-theater set up in Disneyland was a mistake that the show never recovered from- it was too much capacity for the show. A single theater, either in Grizzly Peak or Bayou Country (where Pooh is now) would fit nicely. I'd prefer Disneyland, so you'd have the Marc Davis trifecta in one park, but DCA does need more to do. But if it was put in it's former home in Disneyland, but with one theater, you could use the extra space behind it for a Galaxy's Edge expansion.

I'm not sure the exact spot it could go in Grizzly Peak as I've never been and have no frame of reference on what space is used for what based on the map. The Blue Sky Wine Cellar that's closed could be used for it too, or maybe part of the Redwood Creek Trail.

They already pulled the coin and replaced it with the old one that they had for the Hungry Bear. I just don't get how a whole design pipeline would miss such a glaring mistake.

For getting them into the Hungry Bear- maybe they could expand the restaurant into some of the green space between it and Pooh? This measurement is definitely more than they'd need for just the stage (and have the restaurant seating be in place of the theater seating) but I also don't know if that green space is used for Pooh's queue. A single AA of Gomer is definitely more realistic but IDK if they'd do that, I feel like they'd do all or nothing. Or, maybe a single curtained window with Big Al.

I definitely think if they were to do it the show should be adjoining or part of HB to justify the name change.

I also think Pooh should be Rescuers themed but that's for another discussion.

More bear updates- finally seeing Romeo in the park app. I shouldn’t be surprised that they didn’t update his artwork, but it feels like his design is too different to not update it. New character description though, and it ties into his original backstory from the 1972 vinyl album!
It doesn't look like any of the other bears have their profiles updated to fit the new show/designs.
