News Fantasmic!, Festival of Fantasy Parade and Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire to return to Walt Disney World

Upcoming parade time changes in Magic Kingdom:

Beginning April 7, the Festival of Fantasy Parade will have one 3pm performance daily through at least May 4, 2024.

Also beginning April 7, Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade moves to two performances daily in the morning at 10:30am and 11:45am, through at least May 4, 2024.

Hoping around April 7th, they'll put Moana back on the float in the Adventure Friends and make Merida walk(bc, I don't know why when Raya came to this cavalcade in November 2022, she didn't replace Elena, but rather made Moana walk for no reason when Moana is far more popular than Merida and especially nowadays Elena of Avalor(who should have been phased out from the parks by now, it's been four years since her series finale and Disney pretty much has no future for this character unless she appears in the Sofia the First/Royal Prep spin-off(they already have popular Latina superstars from Disney with Encanto, there's no point of having Elena anymore, when a more popular, if they can't bring Sofia back to MGM-Studios daily, then they have to say bye to Elena) and have it go right towards Town Square Theater and the WDW Railroad Station for people to watch the cavalcade from the Main Street Station and towards the gate near the Emporium and not straight to the gate near the store

Honestly if these minor changes don't happen, otherwise I'm just waiting for this cavalcade and the current FOF to permanently end for good, so a new parade can actually bring a bit of magic back and hopefully would feature Moana(bc she's very popular right now), the Adventure Friends cavalcade despite fun new additions has definitely lost its charm

At least two nights in a row now without fire at the late-night showing of Fantasmic! I'm not sure if it happened at the early show. Does anyone know if this B-mode is just due to technical issues on concurrent nights, or if this is possibly a cost savings measure? Hollywood Hills Ampitheater has been less than half-full at best each of the past two nights for the late show.

It's probably just technical difficulties or weather/wind related.

Last week there was no fire during the dragon sequence but the fire came on during the finale before Mickey appears atop the mountain.

Also the second show rarely gets full. But to them half-full is fine otherwise they wouldn't bother doing a second show these days. They must get a lot of food/merch sales regardless to account for it.

Beginning May 26, the Festival of Fantasy Parade returns to 2 showings daily at 12pm and 3pm, through at least June 1.

Also beginning May 26, Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will move back to two performances at 5:10pm and 6:25pm, through at least June 1.

Does anyone know the reason why they can not run FoF after 3pm? The only logical reason I can think of is it has something to do with cast schedules and the union? But when there’s a night parade again they will need to adjust cast schedules.

Half of the cast perform in Frontierland Hoedown Happening and half perform in Adventure Friends. And all of that has to fit into an 8 hour shift with an hour lunch. And account for rest time in between performances

So I guess with a light parade, they’d go back to one afternoon parade at 3 pm, maybe a single cavalcade (or not…) and then the light parade at 9 pm. Another cast would be required to show it again at 11 pm it seems.
