I mean we kept hearing 2025 was the year of entertainment at WDW.

So far, we got Starlight and two new shows (Mermaid at DHS and Villains) at DHS. Is the new shows at DHS meant to help with capacity gain/losses during Muppets or Disney Jr. Dance closure?

Dreams that Soar was wildly popular but was such a operations nightmare, I'd be surprised it returns at Disney Springs in 2025.

Epcot and AK have what coming?

Either way, not a ton of entertainment for my taste like they have been teasing. Not yet.
It’s not 2025 yet.

There have been casting calls for street entertainers - I assume in Epcot / Boardwalk. Not sure if the location was mentioned.

Hopefully there’s a surprise or two but I guess we will see.

I think those casting calls were for Epcot. And I also think that those who know more tend to believe those are slotted for spots around WSL.
That was my impression too. But it occurred to me they could also “fit” on the Boardwalk.

Do entertainers ever do both I wonder?

Actually I saw casting call for both. Hopefully more entertainment is coming. It really isnt that hard to cast for this because in some cases I know people who still live locally and have done those roles previously. C'mon Disney, let's do this!! Marie

I believe they are hired by different departments but they could potentially do both. Some of the former boardwalk jugglers performed at both the boardwalk and storybook circus for a while.

Does anyone know what Disney was doing last night in terms of fireworks testing? At about 3:45 in the morning I was awoken by the sounds of a fireworks launch, closer to the ones that happened during the Castle show than anything else. I heard a few more over the next 5 minutes before finally getting back to sleep... Not exactly sure what it is about, maybe Enchanted testing for the parties in the new year?

FITS NYE?

I would think TDO would work on that before DE 2025.

There goes any chance of drones being added to Luminous or DAK, if there was a chance in the first place, after that drone incident in downtown Orlando.
I think we all know that Disney would have done a much better job making sure it was all safe, rather than whatever company the city used... Universal pretty publicly has only paused their drones though, so much like the crocodile throughout WDW we could see them return eventually.

It was alarming to see those downtown Orlando drones just dropping like flys and into an area where people were present. What happen to the laws that said they could not be over people? Maybe that's just a Disney rule? I guess after seeing that Footage at lake Eola Orlando, this is a good rule. Having said that I Disagree this will kill any chance of Drones in use at Luminous or Dak or other WDW. Fireworks have injured cast, exploded on world drive, caused numerous fires on property and there continue to be used. Will this slow down the arrival in order for Disney to be extra diligent, likely! But accidents happen and if Disney wants to add drones, this won't be the reason they stop.
