I suspect it will be lifted shortly. Ticket sales (including AP’s) being way down is hurting them.

They woujd be a public admission that they screwed up by “weeding out” the low revenue passholders

It’s going to turn out that keeping AP’s off sale for so long past the Covid capacity restrictions in a cynical attempt to force their best customers to purchase more expensive day tickets hurt them in the long term. Who could have seen that coming!?!?!
