DHS The future of Star Tours, Star Wars Launch Bay and Star Wars shows at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Okay so sourceless educated-guessing crackpot rambling time but with
all the work going on at DHS:

- Millennium Falcon Is finally getting a new mission, being themed to Mando, taking away the unique gimmick that probably has kept star tours around all these years
- Muppet courtyard is becoming monstropilis, permanently ending the “SWGE STAR TOURS CONNECTION” Talk
- RNRC theme is finally getting squared away after all these years in Electric Mayhem
- Is one of the few remaining relics of the studio theme from the MGM days
- I don’t remember the last time I saw Star Tours with an actual line, and i assume it doesn’t sell the most lightning lanes
- Screen based Simulator nature of the attraction makes it easier, and cheaper to retheme and reprogram to something else, especially compared to TOT

Disney is certainly well within its rights to eliminate an attraction in one place while keeping it in another, but I just can't see Disney taking out Star Tours in Florida while leaving it at Disneyland. How it is, they have a ride on each coast, and easily have the ability to do simple updates with new content as they do with Millennium Falcon.
Of course, I think we're in a humorous situation where what needs to happen is a big-ol' switcheroo: Star Tours needs to go to Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland to add capacity, spread out Star Wars to more than one park, and match Disneyland; while Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor needs to go to Studios to put Monsters content together and maintain the jovial, "humans are now allowed in monstropolis" theme of the new Monsters Courtyard.
That will never happen -- it would cost too much to be worth it to the Mouse -- but it would be quite sensible. But perhaps Disney has a more comprehensive Tomorrowland improvment coming down the road, as both coasts desperately need serious reworking and at least one new attraction.

Stars Tours can easily be changed to another IP.
I rode Iron Man experience in Hong Kong, and it is pretty much the same as Star Tours.
The ride design, however is woefully out of date and needs to be closed down.

Attempt to move the convo that was happening in monsters inc threadto the right thread.
As was said by @ToTBellHop before it was deleted in the monsters Inc thread: the idea for the new falcon ride is to allow Disney to close star tours at DHS, If I’m not mistaken.
I personally and genuinely think that a good retheme would be family guy, at least at dhs.
Reasons:
Deadpool’s sucesss shows there’s an audience for that brand of humor in some form at Disney parks
Family Guy is the perfect brand for the “randomization” Star tours thrives on.
You could make a fun plot out of Brian and Stewie taking you on an adventure.
Making the draw of the ride, as well as the novelty of a family guy ride
humor as opposed to the thrill that has been outclassed.
Could have some fun merch, walk around characters, and food, even retheme backlot cafe.
There are no sacred cows at the American Disney parks sans Disneyland, and DHS is the “Disney acquisition ip” park. If this is the direction of the parks, might as well have fun with it.

I would enjoy this, but I don't think the Family Guy humor is very accessible to the average Disney guest. Simpsons? Absolutely. It would be sad though if they just moved the Universal ride over lol

I didn’t think Deadpool would’ve either, but here we are. I honestly think we underestimate Disney guests nowadays. They’ll be fine with many things as long as it’s an IP attached. Social media and all that.
Also family guy wouldn’t suffer from the “universal did it” syndrome Simpsons would.

I finally had an idea I really like for a star tours retheme.
unlikely I know but how about phineas and ferb. think about it you would enter the O.W.C.A and receive
A random mission from major monogram to stop one of Danvilles many villains and board the Vehicle without a cool acronym or V.W.A.C.A. you could team up with agent P to defeat dr. Doofenshmirtz. fight professor poofensplotz with agent pinky. maybe even venture into the 2nd dimension to free it from 2nd dimension doofenshmirtzs tyranny and return back to the base only to have your memory erased by the amnesia-inator. mind you I don’t think Disney will actually do this but I think it could be cool.

Real question for everyone: in the event of star tours at DHS closing, what do you think will happen to the ride itself? Will the simulator system be re-used for a retheme, or will the attraction as a whole and maybe things around it, be totally torn down for something new?
