Look...unless cast members haven’t been told something...the show is just going down for concrete work through November 18 where the stages sit, then the show will be returning.
This stinks........we're leaving on the 17th. We've never seen this show before, but our 7 year old is a huge SW fan. Guess he can't miss what he doesn't know about.

OK, I for one am pleased by this. Hopefully this means a little less obstruction of the Hollywood Blvd. corridor and a nicer view of the theatre. The thing was a glorified cosplay fashion show anyways - no M&G, no plot, no story... Just wandering aimlessly onto the stage, twirling and then leaving.

Yeah, I had to sell off my children to afford the patio.

;)

Joking aside, they have indeed been doing extensive concrete work in DHS for a while now.

I liked the show. It had one problem, though, everyone say it with me...

Lack of shade.

The wait times published are definitely inflated for many attractions. It's some complicated psychology to encourage people to visit attractions that are lower. Spreading of crowds is ideal, as there is a cascading effect on utilization of tertiary services and attractions, the ability to maximize revenue, and to some extent guest satisfaction. Also, if large attractions maintain a low wait time, people tend to flood them, and then wait times become unreliable.
Nothing except Jungle Cruise our trip first of September was as long as the wait time said. We have been enough times to be able to pretty easily judge most queues for ourselves though and I never believe the MDE.

Most of the wait times are being inflated to make it seem somewhat busy.

This has been our experience excluding the weekends during the day.

Bonus awful behaviour near closing. Epcot on 15th Sept we entered the stand by wait time for Frozen at 9:40pm (10pm park close) with a posted 50min wait. Cast Member further in the line tells us it is actually only a short wait - I timed it at 11 minutes and 40 seconds from entering the line to being seated on the ride! We didn't get out in time to ride again but the Disney app always showed the 50min wait up to closing.

Granted it was a slower season however we found in the course of 3 weeks only a couple attractions to be close to accurate. Peter Pan being one. Cut most in half and that was the ballpark wait time. At a bout 8 pm Frozen said 60 and there was zero guests in the stand by. Test Track single rider 40 minutes it was 5 minutes. Everest 25 single 20. The wait for standby was your walk to load.

We arrived at the MK at 1015 am and left at 130pm. Rode Space, Peoplemover, Buzz, Indy, DWarf, Under Sea, Mansion, Sawyer, lunch Splash Thunder and Pirates. We had no problems getting FP+ after our first 3. We left and went swimming. We with some effort we’re able to get FoP twice same day within a couple hours.

I don’t know what is up with the inflated wait times but our resorts were not crowded and neither were the restaurants other than the very Popular quick service. Even high end Springs were offering 40% off at lunch. That’s a heck of a discount This is free dining season and we just didn’t have problems anywhere overall and we always travel to WDW at this time of year.

Why do we treat short wait times as a bad thing? Shouldn't that be the goal?

It's the goal for us as consumers. But short wait times = less people in the parks = less profit for Disney = risk of budget cuts = bad for consumers. At the same time the lower attendance could partially be to do price increases, which makes this a negative cyclical effect.

How is this "show" even still around. 2 1/2 years old. Bring back a good ol fashioned parade.

Why is MK the only location with a daytime parade? We used to have one at MGM, AK and Epcot. I loved the Christmas overlay to the parade at AK. It was simple but cute.. And who didn't love smelling Minnies hot cocoa bathtub in the air!

Yes the March is going down to 10 troopers, so yes there will definitely be some savings for sure.

Do you have any news on Jedi Training? Ther are no times showing past the end of this month. Is this also a victim of the cuts?
