It's a Small World Tightrope Cyclist?

I remember there used to be a little cyclist with acrobats riding across a wire in the finale room of IaSW. It was a neat little detail I always liked but today while on the ride I realized it was gone (probably has been for awhile). However, I looked up to where it used to be and saw the mechanism in the wall still moving the wire up and down as it used to when the cyclist was still there. Is this effect ever coming back? What happened to it, and why was it removed?

Cutbacks. They had to pay that little guy hazard pay for being up on the wire.

I look for it all the time, too.
I'm just glad they finally fixed the sun in the Central/South America room. I've always watched one of the rays go all the way around ever since I was 6.

I also wonder where the original two clowns in the balloon went. They used to have signs that was something like "HELP" "Get Me Down" or something.

I believe they were purposefully removed in the big refurbishment of '05(?)

Wasn't there in October 2016 (unsure if it's been and gone since then though?)

Do any of you think that the tightrope cyclists will eventually return to Magic Kingdom's "it's a small world!"? It's been well over 10 years now.

I don’t think so sadly, it looks like the wires and infrastructure that supported them has been removed. I believe its disappearance was the result of a ban on overhead animation without a failsafe/secondary cables

That's too bad. It was such a simple effect too.
