‎10 years ago tonight we went to bed not knowing the following day would change us all forever.

Take time tomorrow to reflect, even if only for a few minutes. Take time to remember that while the stress of our daily lives may at some points seem overwhelming, we are more often than not blessed on a daily basis with the company of our family and friends. Take time to say "I love you" to those who matter most in your life. Take time to be thankful for what you have. Take time to remember those who lost their lives in the attacks, and those who are now dealing with health issues from the recovery effort.

For those of us who are citizens of the United States of America, no matter what your political alignment, take time to be proud of and thankful for the freedoms we enjoy.

We will never forget.

The "This is terrible!" thread here in Chit Chat follows our conversations that day as the events unfolded. Steve maintains it here for us to remember.

I recommend reading through it, and you'll see where we pause to remember each year...

It really is incredible that it has been 10 years already. But then I remember that when those events unfolded I was sitting in my 6th grade classroom completely unaware of what exactly had happened while a zillion "middle school" rumors darted around the school. Now I'm a senior in college looking back thankful that my brother moved his office out of the towers two weeks before the attacks, that his pass for the gym that he gave to my cousin saved her life and forever thankful of all of those that gave their lives to help and save others. Forever a New Yorker...We will never forget. <3
