As we remember the Alamo...

"Remember the World Trade Center"

I am reminded of something the great Satchmo once said before singing "What a Wonderful World":

"Some of you young folks been sayin to me, 'hey pops, what you mean, what a wonderful world? How 'bout all them wars all over the place? You call them wonderful? And how about hunger, and pollution? They ain't so wonderful either.'

"Well how 'bout listenin to ol' pops for a minute. Seems to me it ain't the world that's so bad, but what we're doin' to it. And all I'm sayin' is see what a wonderful world it would be if only we'd give it a chance. Love baby, love! That's the secret! If lots more of us loved eachother, we'd solve lots more problems. And man, this world would be a gasser! That's why ol' pops keeps sayin......

"I see trees of green,
Red roses too,
I see them bloom
For me and you.
And I think to myself.....What a Wonderful World....."

~God Bless~

...............:(...................

I'm at one of those points where I feel the need to say so much... but I don't know what to say. I'm sorry for what happened and yet I feel it has made us so much stronger. I will never forget today... and what it us meant to us not only as individuals, but as ONE. That day a year ago made this nation something that we all said it was, but deep down inside we know wasn't true, and that is united. I pray that God will give me the strength to get through today as best I can. One of my friends is on furlough from Afganistan... and hopefully I can talk to him tomorrow. I don't know what is in store for us... or for me with the military just waiting around the bend. I just pray for guidence and protection not only for me... but more importantly but for this nation... a nation that is finally once again "One Nation Under God".

God Bless America

I don't know what to say...

Remembering the events of 9/11 make me feel so empty and terribly sad. My heart goes out to all who lost friends and loved ones on that horrific day
