When I saw this posting I almost panicked that they were announcing no lights this year:arghh:! Fhhhhuuue......that sure gets the adrenalin going on a Monday morning. They are my favorite display!!!!!!!:D

I also guess it's good news that this announcement didn't come with a premium package available in order to get VIP access to the lights. Whatever that would entail ;-)

You were worried (and so was I) because some idiot "experts" declared that they were finished gone done kaput. I am SO happy they were dead wrong idiots who should shut up when they don't know better.

Last time we were at HS the first week of November they were "testing" the lights and had a couple of "soft openings" I guess you could say. No dancing. Just lights. But it was great. We will be there the first week of Nov again this year, leaving before opening date for the lights. Do they still do these surprise evenings. We just lucked into by being at HS and noticing a sign at the tip board for that nights "testing." Thanks.

I cant wait....just love standing in the middle of the street later in the evening. Singing and dancing while snow falls and the kids say "really mom????" LOL

There where and are serious plans to remove the Streets of America, which will result in the Osborne Lights being displaced. It was expected to take place this year. For various reasons those plans have not yet gone through. Plans can and do change all the time, and people here can only report the latest that they know. I think your comments are unfair.

I don't know why, but I feel that there is a shelf life to this very awesome display and every year feels like it could be the last year. Probably unwarranted, but it just has that "it's way too expensive, let's cut it" feel...

Harsh...this is after all "rumors and current events". People should feel free to express their opinions and share whatever knowledge they have without being ridiculed and called "idiots".

SWEEEEET! Excitement took over and I started to watch the video but quickly remembered we will be there in a few weeks so I stopped watching. It will be a nice surprise to see something new for the show. I can already taste the carrot cake cookie and hot chocolate from Writers Stop that we always get before the show!!!
