Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! Street Party to be updated later this year

Why does this street party still exist?!?!?

Because Disney now realizes that if guests entertain themselves, they don't have to put that much of an effort on other things. Why do you think we have like 3-5 interactive games in the parks? They're creating small distractions that require little cost on their part with less employees to pay for operations.

To quote a very good movie from last year

After watching it a few times it's grown on me a little. However the "play it/voting aspect of the show is just odd/unnecessary. Also the social media aspect is very forced. Like just mention once or twice to post pics but it seems to beaten across your head the whole time.

Or because it's a fairly inexpensive way to keep guests entertained and spread out at different parts of the park. The more people watching a show, the less people in lines, making lines shorter and guests happier overall. It's a people eater, parades, castle shows, dance parties, etc.
Also, the parades and shows are one of the extra things that stand out as in a league of their own. Even Disney's worst parade is miles above their competition up the street.

Absorbant and yellow and porous is he!

I love that show, call me crazy.

This makes me so sad. While the old street party wasn't anything crazy or amazing, it was definitely fun... And the opening and ending music was such a BLAST. I loved singing along to them. They were pure Disney. The new opening and ending music is so electronic, cold, attempting to be hip. I can't even understand the words. And then Mickey and the gang pull out phones and take selfies... No, just no.

It's an Owl City Song that was used in the end credits of Wreck-It Ralph.
Owl city had one hell of a run these 2 years in animated movies.
They did 3 songs for 3 different movies.

"When I can see you again" for Wreck it Ralph
"Shine your way" on The Croods
"Shooting Star" on Escape from Planet Earth.

I haven't seen anyone post about this on any form of social media yet but looks like the new version of the street party has a seasonal Christmas finale. I stumbled across this video on youtube and you can see it at 6:25 . Nice to see them doing something simple like this, they didn't have to especially since the show just re-opened but it's appreciated.

Yeah, I rather like the seasonal addition (for anyone interested, it started on Wednesday the 5th [same day the castle lighting started]).
