Quick question about WDSP's history:
If California Adventure and Walt Disney Studios Park were planned and built simultaneously, why didn’t the Walt Disney Company clone Superstar Limo? The ride was created for DCA to have a dark ride on opening day, while WDSP didn’t have one at launch, even though it fit the same theme. Of course, after the ride’s abysmal reception, they wouldn’t consider cloning it later, but why didn’t they do it initially and split the costs between both resorts?

Because the budget for the Walt Disney Studios Park was about 2 dollars and 15 cents
But to be serious it would have been the most expensive ride in the park at opening. Maybe RnRC could have eclipsed it in budget, but overall there wasn’t the budget to build a dark ride. Think of the opening day ride lineup. A spinner, a rollercoaster in the dark and the tram tour.

I also think it would have been a bit of a non-starter because no-one in Europe would have known who a lot of the celebrities were. I suppose they could have replaced the likes of Regis Philbin and Drew Carey with more universally recognisable stars, but if that was the level of star power they were offering in the California version, I don't think the likes of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were on the table to show up in WDSP.
Pleased to say Space Mountains new lighting package continues to slowly be revealed. The rooftops effects are still being swapped but the rear has a few roof sections hinting at how good it will finally look again:
