Hey everyone!

We are 82 days away from spending 10 days at our home resort BLT. We have been DVC members for almost 3 years. We usually take about 3-4 trips to Orlando per year. These trips are usually planned about 1-3 months out so we have not been able to book BLT yet. This was not a problem because we have been able to stay at OKW(2x), SSR, BCV, BWV(2x) and Kidani. We loved all of these resorts and enjoyed our stay. When we went down in June we booked a night paying cash at BLT so we could finally check it out, even if just for one night. I fell in love! Our view, the location, the pool, The Contemporary-it was all so wonderful. So I am very excited about our 10 day stay BLT, this time using DVC points (when we stayed with cash we could not go the the Top of the World Lounge ). It is just me and hubby so we got a studio.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or specific rooms we could request? Any info would be appreciated! We cannot wait!!

BLT is our home resort also, and we stayed there for the first time in April. We had a standard view studio, which we enjoyed. We were on the third floor, which was a lot of fun, because it was easy to get to the ground floor or the skyway to the Contemporary (5th floor).

The walk to the Magic Kingdom wasn't bad and made exiting the park after Wishes very easy.

The community room was ok and we enjoyed the pool.

BLT is our home resort also. We love it there and know you will too. The location is so convenient. If you want to go to any other resort, you just walk over to MK and grab a bus! My only suggestion is to try and take the bus back from Epcot. You will have to switch Monorails to a resort one and it will be a lot faster on the bus! Oh and have a Long Island Ice Tea at the Members Lounge. They are the best! Have a great trip

We've been DVC members for years (our home resort is OKW) and have stayed in almost all the DVC resorts at least once. We were lucky enough to get a MK view studio at BLT the first week it was opened. It still smelled new! If at all possible, ask for a room on the higher floors, you get such a spectacular view, and it's so cool to see the MK from such a distinct vantage point. But no matter where your room is, make sure you go to the top floor "private" DVC lounge -you'll really feel like a VIP and the view is breathtaking.

Enjoy!

What catagory are you booked as? Lake View, MK View

TotW Lounge check-in is to the right at you enter the main front entrance on the ground floor. I believe someone is there starting at 4 - 4:30 every afternoon and they will give you access to the 16th floor.

When you go to the pool or anywhere outside the building, remember to bring your room keys. All doors are secured, including the gates to enter the pool area and even the bathrooms at the pool. Given the time of year you are going I am not sure you will be spending much time at the pool. Be aware that with the pool orientation to BLT it does not get much sun in the afternoons in the winter. Probably 12 noon through maybe 2:00 PM would be your best option. Even in October when the sun got behind the building we were heading away from the pool.

I also recommend asking for a room on the upper floors. The views can be amazing depending on which direction you are facing.

Walk to the MK. The walk is not bad and it will take you less time than taking the monorail.

The studios are a tad small. We have never stayed in one but the sq footage seems to be smaller than the other studios. We love the 1 and 2 bedrooms at BLT.

If you did not choose a MK View, I would just suggest requesting:

'Even numbered room on an upper floor'.

BLT is our home resort and we've stayed there twice. The location cant be beat. After a long day at the park, you can be home within minutes and not have to wait for a bus or monorail. Our personal preference is the Lake View. To see the sun come up over Bay Lake and hear the boats whistle is a wonderful way to wake up. The Magic Kingdom view is neat at night, but mostly you see the parking lot. Beside you can watch Wishes upstairs at the Members Lounge. (Try the Long Island Ice Tea!) We were very fourtunate this September. We had a standard view but could see Wishes perfectly from our room. Either way you will enjoy every moment of it!

Thank you everyone! We are really looking forward to our stay there and we will definitely request a room on the higher floors. We can't wait to go to the lounge!
