Does anyone know why 7DMT is closed right now?

Although it is now out of testing and is officially open, there are still some teething issues and the ride has been closing now and then. As mentioned, the app had also been showing it as closed even when open.

The MDE app has always said Closed since opening. I think it is a bug.

Do you mean park opening today? If you mean since opening on May 28, I can attest that this is not true, as there were several times on my trip last week when I would be stunned by how long the wait time was according to my phone app. It may feel like the app has always said closed because the ride is constantly going down though lol.

I hate to say it, but I think that has happened a few times because of how often it has been closed. If people happen to catch it as soon as it opens back up, there may be a delay between the opening of the queue and it being noted in MDE. I do know there were a few times that I saw in my phone that it showed as open and as we would walk past it to get to something else I would hear CM's telling people it had just closed again.

The thing is, this time it was (probably) down due to the weather, but outside of weather issues, most people won't know why a ride is down 99% of the time. CM's generally aren't supposed to tell guests why a ride is down and are often reluctant to give any information beyond "we're working on it and hope it's back up soon." I have heard rumors that the majority of the time that 7dmt was down while we were there it was due to faulty sensors, but I don't think anyone in the general public knows that for sure.

It's a start up. No process or attraction works flawlessly at the start. The mechanicals need fine tuning just as do the human component.

Remember mermaids opening months were very rough. It was done constantly. Thankfully Its had little to no issues with in terms of closures now, except the part of your world scene Ariel is almost always out of sync.
