When you book your non-home resort 7 mos in advance, is it to the day? Or can you start booking in the month. In other words, if I want to book 11-17 do I have to wait till 4-17 to book or can I do it 4-1?

To the day.
It is 7 months from your checkout day......
That is why during the busiest period, some people will do a day by day booking. (Calling in each day and adding a day to their previous reservation). This is only necessary during the busiest times however.
