7 Dwarves MT, and question about "bumpy rides"

Yeah, Space Mountain is extremely bumpy - I actually don't find Big Thunder Mountain to be that bumpy. Space Mountain is probably the bumpiest ride on property - after Dinosaur.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
So are there drops on 7DMT? I can't do drops, and we are heading to WDW in February. I am dying to see the inside of the mine while on the ride, but really dreading any kind of big drop.
There are but not like EE, more like BTMR from what others said. I was just talking about the rides I will not ride anymore mainly TOT and EE. Did those once and never again!! I have not done 7DMT yet but still do BTMR And have heard it's no any worse than that one. :)

I am with you--can't do drops. I had asked this on the board a while back and no one mentioned drops. Maybe spirals like BTM, but drops? Can someone confirm this? I might not be so eager now to get FAstpass for this ride!
No big drops on 7dmt that I have heard but was just talking about the ones I will not ride again. EE and TOT were horrible for me. Heard 7dmt is nothing like those with drops. :)

If you want smooth, go with 7DMT and Everest. If a bumpy ride concerns you, I'd stay away from SM, if I were you.

I think the reversal in the dark in Everest might give her inner ear issue fits. Plus, I wouldn't call Everest smooth, at least not in comparison to 7 Dwarves...

Can anyone tell me how smooth the ride is on Seven Dwarves Mine Train? I have a migraine/inner ear disorder that can be triggered by motion and I find bumpy rides the worst, so I'm trying to get a sense of what the motion experience is like. I had a lot of trouble on Thunder Mountain last time I rode it (about 2 years ago).

Any other comments on particularly rough rides?

Like most of the posters have said, Seven Dwarves is a smooth and quiet roller coaster. If bumpy is an issue, then stay away from Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain (and Splash Mountain if you don't like 50 foot drops) in Magic Kingdom, Everest (goes backwards very fast in the dark) & Kilimanjaro Safari in Animal Kingdom, Star Tours, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster & Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios and Test Track in EPCOT.

Compared to other rides? Not really, just one at the end -and it's not much. If you can do Barnstormer, then 7DMT should be no problem. When I think of rides with drops, that would be Everest, Splash Mountain and the best of all, Tower of Terror....

Yep. I've never dared to go on Everest for this reason alone. For me, it would be like asking to get sick. Too bad, cause I'd love to see all the details of the ride.

It's incredibly smooth. And quiet. So quiet that the only way you can hear that it's running is by the sound of the people on it. The mine carts sway from side to side a little, but it's so smooth and you only notice it at certain points.

On rough rides? Hmm. If it's just rough rides, you'll want to stay away from Kilamajaros Safaris and Dinosaur at AK, Star Tours at DHS, and Space Mountain at MK. Expedition Everest at AK is also very, very smooth, so you can use your best judgement about whether the drops may be too intense for you (it also goes backwards). Rock 'n Roller Coaster is also smooth, but it does launch from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds and goes upside down, so again, use your judgement with that information. Tower of Terror is smooth, but it goes up and down (obviously) faster than the speed of gravity, so again, use your best judgement. TSM may make you a little dizzy with the motion of the vehicles, but it's nice and smooth, so you would probably be fine. At Epcot, you should be fine with everything minus Mission: Space. I would try the Green Team if I were you. Orange Team (more intense) is one of my migraine triggers, so I strongly encourage you to try Green team (less intense) which should be fine. Personally, I also don't do Astro Orbiter at MK because the spinning motion gets to me, but I'm fine on Dumbo.

Little ones. Maybe a little bigger than the ones on Goofy's Barnstormer. But not horrible. When you get there, you can walk around the ride and see the entire track and that will give you an idea of if it's okay for you to ride.

Or you can watch this Youtube clip and get an idea
