So far no lists have appeared yet. There was a topic about this awhile back where someone tried to find out, but Guest Relations would not provide them with the info because they considered it proprietary. :(

As everybody knows, "Titles, names, short phrases, and slogans; familiar symbols or designs; mere variations of typographic ornamentation, lettering, or coloring; mere listings of ingredients or contents" (copyright.gov) are not eligible for copyright... and thus, the information ought to be (doesn't really have to be, but no legal issues if released) released sooner or later should somebody ask for it.

That was what I thought, too. I'd have to dig up the old thread and see what the exact e-mail was, but it was something to that effect. I assume it was a reaction to people who are creating their own copies of the loop and disseminating them around the Internet.

Umm copyright and proprietary have little to do with eachother. They're not preventing you from using it (in an affirmative legal action) merely prevent you from having a list, something they aren't required to provide (though they should, it's an amazing attraction). Hopefully there will be a list/recording out soon.

Some of the music is from 'The Right Stuff' ... and some from the Rocketeer ... but im not taking notes.
They also use John Williams’ theme from Far and Away. I know because I’m a big Williams fan and it drove me nuts trying to place the song when I heard it standing in line. I also know that the one in California Adventure uses the theme from Air Force One in it’s loop but I didn’t hear it when I was at Epcot.

Listen up guys,

The Composer of the Music in Soarin' is by Film Composer Jerry Goldsmith, one of the greatest film composers ever. All the queue music is is by Jerry Goldsmith as well, its taken from his Films. there may be an exception or two, but I'd doubt it. Jerry Goldsmith composed the music in 2001 for the ride in CA. You'll notice it has some of the same characteristics as music from Air Force One and Star Trek: First Contact. That is because he composed them. As for Guest Relations, they can give you a print out of all the music played in Epcot. Who wrote and composed the music in the park is NOT confidential. However, the guest relations list is a bit outdated. Does not include Mission Space or Soarin yet.

Cheers!

All of the music is available on Mirc (even though I've been having problems with it lately) I know this because that's where I got it all... The Load/Unload music happens to be my personal favorite. Just when you get to Mirc, look up the California Adventure files...
For the record, if this helps... Soarin is at Disney's California Adventure in the Golden State "land" and in the Condor Flats "District" that might aid any kind of search.

That is not true. The Soarin queue music is not only songs composed by Jerry Goldsmith, in fact it is far from it. The loop features music from the Rocketeer, the American President, and Field of Dreams by James Horner, and The right stuff by Bill Conti. They even use the theme from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman composed by William Olvis. While they do use many pieces by Jerry Goldsmith they use many other things as well.

Theme from Contact is in there too.
Yep, Thats there too. In case your keeping score that was composed by Alan Silvestri, so you can add it to the list of non Jerry Goldsmith pieces in the loop.

What is the theme? Do you have a copy of it you could send me? craigfergus@hotmail.com Have been trying to work out what the tune was and Far and Away was on tv the other night. It sounded so familiar. Is used in holiday planning videos here in the UK I think.

Actually the WDW version is different than the DCA version. :)
