The thing that gets me is people r putting the chicken with kfc don't know about you but I wouldn't pay 20 for kfc or Popeyes. I guess my standards are just higher but in general Disney food is subpar in my opinion.

Who is putting the chicken with kfc or popeye's? It's way better. I will not eat at those places for any amount of money. It's garbage.

Your standards are higher? Seriously? Do you need to make yourself feel better by putting other people down?

Virtually everything at Disney is more expensive than the restaurant down the street. That's expected.

If you don't like the concept, that's fine. If you want or need something fancy, that's fine. But it's inaccurate to say the food at Prime Time is sub-par. It's a themed restaurant. It's supposed to be homey retro comfort food. It succeeds.

I just don't like the place everyone can praise it but I can't say it's bad. I think Hollywood studios TS and food option in general are lacking. I just think for the money there is better food on the property I would rather have flame tree bbq then 50s.

Hollywood Studios has been our favorite park and there has not been a restaurant we haven't dined in at least twice.
We do not care for buffets that much, and really were not impressed with the Brown Derby. Sci-Fi actually has good food, but the kids like the food and especially the "show" when good old Dad here gets yelled at by "Mom".

Visiting for my first time in April. So, for you regulars, which is your favorite entrée? Like @sxeensweet, I'm in the South and know what good fried chicken should be (and it isn't KFC). But my mom made the most amazing pot roast (she always made her pot roast for dinner the first night we were home on college break), so I'm torn between the fried chicken and pot roast. Or maybe I should get both..... :hungry:
I will be fueling up for the Star Wars Half Marathon.

Same here. We're going in July. I'd like some recommendations. I probably won't want roast because we eat it at home about once a month, and I make a pretty good meat loaf so I'm kind of picky... I love fried chicken and only have it about once a year, so maybe that's a good one for me. (I hope it's not like KFC.) o_O

50s food is below average at best Hollywood studios food in general is horrible.

As I said up above, I have not eaten there yet but I plan to in July. I'm expecting it to be just average food (same as Sci-Fi), but with a neat atmosphere.

From what I've been told, it's what good Southern fried chicken should be. Which means it won't be KFC. I've got to stop reading and posting on this thread - it's making my mouth water for some good fried chicken.

First off, you need to try a peanut butter and jelly shake. INCREDIBLE. Once I ordered the Sampling of Mom's favorites, very good, but I wished I had more of the pot roast So I now usually get the pot roast

Is that a dessert or meal?? Everyone's talking about that pot roast. It must be good, but we eat that at home a lot so I probably won't want to order it there.

I didn't have a good experience here. My waitress was BORING and our food arrived out 5 mins after we were seated which let me know that the food was sitting under a lamp. I was looking forward to the jokes and fun more than the food and got none. I'll probably try it again in hopes to get the full experience.

Been there many times, and sadly we did have a dud for a waiter once. Usually it is plenty of laughs

Have you seen the volume of food that the kitchen is able to pump out ? 5 minutes is trivial for most items as its just a matter of plating, especially with items like pot roast and meatloaf.
