$50 AP Magic Band replacement question?

Since WDW values the cost of a replacement Magic Band at $50s for APs that lose their bands, can I just option out of getting the Magic Band and take $50 off the cost of my APs?

You could make a pretty penny with your extra magic bands. Selling them to Disney Infinity players who want to unlock the game extra you can only get with the Magic Band.
