Probably not recommend for a first timer. Unless you can navigate easily it doesn't make sense. Do decent planning (with help from the forums here). There is so much to do at WDW for someone new, you won't have time to fit it all in as it is. But enjoy your trip!
Thanks! I am making my teen crazy today over choices(booking Monday) and finally he said "Mom! I am fine with wherever you choose to stay as long as it is the CR or WL and we can do without hopping but I want Memory maker" LOL He's not asking much. Actually we are staying at CR and skipping the hopper makes it easier to do the MM. My husband texted me and Ri "Glad I am at work" LOL I love my family.

I've found more value in the Park Hopper when staying in the Villas @ Boardwalk, as it is really easy to wander over to DHS and then back to EPCOT for the evening or strolling through EPCOT and hopping on the monorail to MK for a meal or fireworks or just to see Mickey's Philharmagic and then back to EPCOT and out the back door... When staying at Saratoga Springs or Animal Kingdom Lodge we used the Hopper much less frequently. When we've stayed more than four full days, we've also spent a whole day (or two) revisiting things in each park that we enjoy - HOPPING our way around the World -.

Yeah I have to disagree with the Disney food sentiment in the article. I also don't really find the prices that outrageous.

Seasons is really good. I thought the fish tacos were superb. It has become my favorite stop, even for breakfast, the bread pudding made with buttery croisssants is probably the best bread pudding I've ever had.

There are some "meh" foods (mostly in MK) but what do you expect out of quick service that does hamburgers?
