5 Scout Leaders Killed

There were 5 scout leaders killed about an hour ago at the Jamboree in Virginia. Please keep them in your prayers. My dad is one of the volunteer leaders down there teaching archery and we haven't heard from him yet. Keeping our fingers crossed.

Thank you, nothing yet. My mom has called his cell twice but only got voicemail.

There was some sort of electrical accident. They just updated the headline and are now saying 4 have died.

The scout leaders that died were all from Alaska.

My thoughts and prayers are with the OP's father, and the families of the victims.
I was in DC on Saturday, and there were Boy Scouts everywhere!!!!!! I think I saw more than half of the 43,000 that were there!

Wow, I'm glad your father is okay. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who weren't.

My brother went to the 2001 jamboree and is still very much involved with the boy scouts as a leader and former eagle scout. The news was a bit distressing for him as well, just cause it kinda hit home with him, having been there and all.
