Only 5 days until I set foot in my home park again! I'm so excited - I haven't been since 2010, can't wait to see the DCA makeover in person. My 3 yo son is dying to see Carsland, pirates and anything Star Wars. My 5 yo daughter loves everything. She cracks me up not willing to try Mickey's Death Wheel but she want's to ride California Screaming - she was sad when I told her she wasn't tall enough yet - "But I want to ride the loop de loop!"
What was a trying to squeeze in one day trip around end of school year events here at home and a family wedding Memorial Day in CA became a skip the last week of school 4 days at DLR trip! The kids don't know yet they think they get only one day in the parks. My daughter keeps saying "there's lots of stuff, maybe we should go more then one day".
I'm relieved to see the temps are supposed to go down next week. My son in 100+ degrees he would melt, he over heats easy and DL is mostly outdoor lines. He just turns bright red looks like he has a horrible sunburn. And you have to constantly fight with both of them to drink more liquids.
My mom is thrilled to see Tom Sawyer's Island again. Everyone grew and wouldn't go over there anymore with her but my kiddos are really looking forward to it. They are ready to run around looking for pirates and treasure.
So much to do before we fly out in just 4 days! I'm totally procrastinating though - haven't packed a thing yet!
