5 in a room at AS Music

We have reservations for AS Music this June. My wife's aunt is wanting to come with us, she has never had a vacation in her life and wants to go with us and our kids.

Does anyone know what the policy is as far as having an extra person in a standard room in All Star Music? I know they have those family suites, but my wife doesn't want to do that option.

She wants to see about getting a roll-away bed or possibly just taking an air mattress. I'm not for either one, but wanted to see if anyone else has tried either of these and what the response, if any, was from Disney.

Their policy is 4 to a room. It would be a tight squeeze to add another person. Those rooms are small. I suggest Port Orleans Riverside. They have a trundle bed and you can sleep 5 per room. There are also the cabins at Ft Wilderness. They sleep 6. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds and a murphy bed in the living room.

You cannot have more than 4 people in a value resort standard room (unless one of the people is a child under 3). If you want to have five people you are going to have to switch to a suite as ASMu, trundle bed room at Port Orleans, or a deluxe resort. This is due to fire code regulations at the resorts.

We have been able to do 5 to a room(2 adults, 3 kids ages 16,11,and 8)
at pop, we got a roll-away because my aunt worked there and was able to swing it without getting in trouble.
Last year we stayed at AS Music and we tried to get a roll-away but none were available. so each of us kids took turns sleeping on the floor. yes the floor sucks to sleep on but whoever slept on the floor that night picked what park we went to and got to use the bathroom and sink area first=]

So how does this help the OP? You were able to break the rules because of your aunt - will your aunt do it for everyone?

Even if they did allow a 5th person in the room I don't know where in the world you could fit a air mattress unless it was right near the door. There is barely enough room for luggage for four people. The rooms are quite small.

As others have said Disney will not allow it as it violates the fire codes. Now I am sure you will see posts about how you can sneak that 5th person in but I would advise against it for several reasons. First, the 5th person would not be able to have a room key which would prevent them from attending Extra Magic Hours. The dining plan (if you get it) would also not be possible for the 5th person. Disney also instructs the house keeping staff to report evidence of an extra guest. If found you will be required to pay for a second room at rack rates. Finally the value rooms are small with 2 adults and 2 kids in them....a third adult would make it unbearable.

Your least expensive option would be to get a room at Port Orleans Riverside. They have rooms with a trundle bed that will sleep 5. You next option, and IMHO the best option is to get a second room at your value resort.

What..you dont consider the shelf above the cloths hanging bar in the bathroom a bunk bed.:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:

Seriously....switch to POR. The Bayou section allows for 5 in a room because they have the trundle bed. Its still like sleeping on the floor but with a matress.

congrats on picking POR it's really nice there. and i was just saying that because even without my aunt you can do it you just aren't always guaranteed a pull out and you will be a tad squashed depending on the ago of the children.

Wow, I understand pinching pennies but I can't imagine 5 people staying in a room at a value.

Well, the penny pinching is from my wife's aunt, who won't allow us to pay her way, so we were trying to find an economical way for someone on a fixed income to come with us.

As for the size, my kids are 10 and 8, so they could have squeezed almost anywhere. We have stayed in an All-Star resort twice and there would be some room for a single inflatable mattress.

Doesn't matter now, like I said we're booked elsewhere.

Overall, the resort is nicer and you will be more comfortable. Enjoy the trip.
