4th of July Weekend Fireworks

Are the July 4th fireworks run only on the 4th, or do they run for the evenings over the weekend as well? Specifically, will the holiday fireworks also run on the 5th? We're traveling in by car, getting in to 'the world' late afternoon on the 5th, and hoping we can make the quick dash to the park to catch the firework show.

Thanks. Gary

Yep, I know how packed it will be.

Sorry....4th of July fireworks are run on the 4th only. It is also a good idea to get to a park early that day as the parks tend to close to capacity on the 4th.

I have been down the last few years and they have run the 4th of july fireworks on the 3rd also, but not the 5th. On the disney site they list "fantasy in the sky fireworks" for the 3rd and 4th and wishes the 5th.

That would be a bonus for all....however, I believe the ones over at Epcot are on the
4th only and that one is really the one to be seen. They put on the best show ever, and the park usually closes to capacity long before the fireworks go off.

I arrive on the fourth of july, for my first ever trip to WDW :sohappy:
However due to like, 8 hours flying (we live in Scotland ;] ) we aren't going to any of the parks that day coz we'll be pretty shattered =/ We're staying offsite, but we're pretty close to WDW/Universal so I'm hoping we might see some of the fireworks from our hotel, or in International Drive ^^
I'm pretty excited about being in America for 4th July, it's my first time to the States, and it'll be such a good way to start off the trip with all the firewords :)

let me just say that you are going to have a blast! They aren't kidding when they say that it's the happiest place on Earth! The fireworks are going to be incredible. My sister went one year and she said they were huge. I want to say that there are alot of things I love about your country. I could sit and listen to bagpipe music all day. I hope to visit sometime. I wish you a wonderful visit and I hope you come back again.:wave:You are going to love it.

I don't know the exact numbers they use, but it will close to capacity to off site guests first, then to Disney resort guests. One advantage to staying on property.

I was just looking at the July hours. On the 3rd they are showing hours of 9AM-1AM with an evening EMH. Does that mean the park will be open until 4AM?
