It all depends. It is definitely not a time to have a relaxing day in the parks but it is enjoyable if done right. My daughter and her friend just plan on logging a good bit of pool time at the resort and wandering around DTD. My wife and I have a few surgical strikes planned for the parks (ST, HM, 50's prime time, etc) and that is about it.Richard we thought about coming there for two days. But would it be worth it with the huge weekend...
I should be near the TTC. Chances are I will be wearing my WDWmagic shirt so feel free to say hi.I'll be at the beach on the 3rd too! Will probably do Epcot on the 4th too...
We got there a little over an hour beforehand last year and found the beach nearly deserted. If you want a chair I would get there about an hour before. If you are fine with standing you could probably get away with showing up 15 minutes before. Most people congregate around the pool but the best view is near the TTC.I will also be at the Poly Sunday night. How early are you guys planning to get there? I have never came over for special fireworks. I was thinking about an hour early?

From what I remember yes. IMHO it is the best place to watch the special event fireworks from. You are not shoulder to shoulder with 50,000 of your closest friends, there is no 6'-9" guy with a kid on his shoulders in front of you, and you can see the entire display without having to have your head on a swivel. Also the rah-rah America section of the boat parade is parked in front of the Poly.Yeah, I was there about an hour early last year too. I sat right on the beach though. Do they pipe the music in by the TTC too?
