$49 per nite (Sept-Dec)

I received a promotional email this morning advertising $49 per night (value resorts) for most nights from 8/29 through 12/19. Moderate resorts were being advertised in the email for $79 per night. In order to take advantage, I was given a personalized PIN number to give to the reservations line.
Did anyone else get this? Do we know if this will be the new rate?
I received this email in an old email address I had before I was a Florida resident and PAP holder. Somehow I doubt, though, that the Florida resident/PAP rate can be any lower than this.

Anyone have any info on this, or receive a similar email?

I haven't received it....althought I wouldn't mind if you PM'd the code to me. (it wouldn't be unique to you....would just be a discount code :) )

I'll be happy to post it here once I make sure it's not unique. This is a 14 digit number (like a credit card #), not a normal three letter code (like the "AZZ" codes we normally see).
I just want to check in with WDW to make sure it's not unique, and if it's not, I'll post it here for everyone to use.

It was talked about in another thread. The pin number IS unique to the person. The email states it is unique and when giving the code they will call you by name.

Thanks Steve. My conversation with WDW just confirmed that it is unique.
BUT - she also said this rate will be made available to everyone soon. Hopefully she knows what she's talking about and we all can stay for $49 a night.

Sorry - I had done a search on the forums and didn't come up with anything for this.

Yes, we did discuss this on another thread. I have been watching and contacting our Disney Rep constantly to see when we will be getting any new discounts. Please watch WDWMagic on the News/Rumors forums for any announcements from me on the new discounts. I always have them on there way before Mousesavers does. So please watch for them.

I called and changed my September reservations to use the promotion code mentioned a couple of weeks ago for those staying through 9/29. This new promotion for $49 value and $79 moderate works out to be about the same thing. Room only for moderate was $95 total with all taxes. So, if you did not get a pin, I would use the promotion code listed on Kingdom Konsultant if you are staying in the timeframe noted. :)

At least you got it in time. The last promotion discount post card I got from Disney was $99/night for a Moderate Resort. It expired the day it arrived to me in the mail.

I just checked my email and I did get the email from Disney. I won't be using it because it just says it is for value and moderate resorts. I always stay at either deluxe or home away from home. I really want to make my reservations now for September but the person who I am going with wants to drive and I really want to fly.

It certainly would be nice if ANYONE could explain just exactly how Disney determines who they send these e-mails too. It seems like there are a whole lot of faithful Disney customers who are beginning to feel like unwanted stepchildren !! I received an e-mail offer last January for a package deal - no pin number or anything, but nothing since then. Now I'm paranoid about missing the e-mail and not calling fast enough and I'm checking all my accounts about every 15 minutes or so. While I don't begrudge anyone else their good fortune, I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong or what hoop I need to jump through !!!!

I spoke with guest relations today about their "selection" process for the emails and was told that it is totally random. I don't know if I buy it, but that's what they said. I explained that this tactic was unfair to many of the faithful and that they were much better off just giving out codes on a first come first serve basis. They apologized, but it was hollow. I had to vent a little, I guess :( I would love to receive one of these emails.

Glad I'm not the only frustrated person out there. It sure would help if Disney had a line set up for suggestions and complaints. I doubt they'd change anything, but we might feel a little better after venting. Or......maybe we'd get put on a black-list for bad little boys and girls if we complained too much..........guess I better check my e-mails again......fingers getting numb.......

I received this e-mail also. One suggestion I would make to you is to register on the Disney website. I am registered and often enter the sweepstakes they offer. That is one reason I may have gotten the promotional email. If you are already registered, then I'm at a loss as to why some got it and some didn't.

At the bottom of the email it says call for deluxe resorts. On a different thread someone mentioned they DID get a discount on a deluxe with their pin.
