It's the 45th I wouldn't have expected much anyways.

I know but it would have been nice for them to do something in the park, and to it just being the 45th from the article, bolded what they called it:

At this point, they might as well just claim that the castle stage show was made for the 45th Anniversary. Atleast the merchandise is actually really nice.

I'm surprised they didn't just reuses Disneyland 45th merch that I'm sure they got a crapload of laying around.

I look for them to celebrate like they did for the 40th anniversary with a special add on tag to Wishes. Oh and don't forget the birthday button, guide map and cupcakes.

Only difference is that they are hyping this up unlike how they did with the 40th or the other small anniversaries.

They have not been hyping this up at all. They have mentioned special merchandise and to look for additional details later on. Those additional details will likely be what I mentioned above.

Hourly Cast Members would be the last to know if they had something planned. Details would not be announced to them until closer to the date. There will be no big grand celebration for the 45th anniversary.

I wouldn't consider it a milestone anniversary. Milestone anniversaries are usually 5,10,25,50,75,100.

The 50th was a little bigger than 60 but at least that's another decade later. 45 just isn't anything special. I'm guessing Disneyland will do something for the 70th as well then the 75th.

Magic Kingdom will probably (maybe) give out cupcakes and on the birthday pins write Happy Birthday Walt Disney World. Maybe a small character parade of 45 characters and that may be it.

A) name 45 disney characters
B) approve the budget for 45 characters

At what age do you stop celebrating every 5 year anniversary? Just makes you sound old at some point.

I wouldn't care to celebrate my 45th - but someone better do something on my 50th.
