Hello everyone!
I recently spent the summer down in Disney World on the International College Program and had an incredible time (I worked at World of Disney) (I'm applying again!:thumbsup2)
While I was down in the world, my good friend Brent and I decided to create and attempt a 4 park challenge that had never been done before. We wanted to go beyond doing just a few attractions in each park which a lot of people have done on their 4 park challenges.
Here is what we came up with:
Ride the 5 most popular attractions in each park at Walt Disney World
MK -Splash Mountain, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Big Thunder
Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Bonus: Prince
Charmings Regal Carousel
Epcot- Test Track, Soarin, Mission:SPACE, Maelstrom, Spaceship
Earth
DAK - Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl,
Kilimanjaro Safari
DHS - ToT, Rock and Rollercoster, Star Tours, Toy Story Mania,
Great Movie Ride

Trade 3 pins
Do the Hustle at Pop Century
Get a free piece of chocolate from Downtown Disney
Juggle for 5 seconds in each World Showcase country
Meet a character
Get a magical moment

And here is video proof that we did it all

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdwxoLYDJ-I

So has anyone else tried a crazy 4 park challenge? Would you ever try a 4 park challenge?

My friend is the author of From Screen To Theme: A Guide to Disney® Animated Film References Found Throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. If you like Hidden Mickeys, this book is great! I have quite a big collection of Disney books at home and this book helps me crub my Disney fix when I can't be there!:thumbsup2
Here is the website if you want to check it out!

Wow! That's really awesome!

I think if I was ever down at Disney for a while I would try a challenge like that, but it seems very tiring...

Wow, that's amazing!

I have seen other 4 park challenges (most notably on AllEars.net w/ Mike Scopa). Their challenge was much looser than yours. By far yours is included way more items, I'm impressed though

In 06 my friends and I were down for a week or so and decided to dedicate a day to doing something like this. We started off with a plan (what rides, where to eat, etc..) but that went out the window. Anyway heres what we accomplished:

AK - KRR, KS, ITTBB, EE, Dinosaur

DHS - ToT, ST, RnRc, Muppetvision 3D, GMR, ate at pizza planet

We then WALKED (yeah bad idea) to EPCOT

EPCOT - TT, Soarin, MS, JII, SSE

MK - All mountains, HM, PoTC, Buzz, SGE, JC, PP, IASW, CBJ, TTA

I may be missing a few but that was the most of it. We did use EMH at MK that night so rode the mountains a few times. I must say this was the most tiring day at WDW ever in my life, but it's a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again!

We did our own 4 park challenge on the last full day of our 2 week Disney vacation this past September. DD9 had things at each park she wanted to do again, as did DD13, so we made a list and off we went!

DAK--Primeval Whirl, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids (complete with an outfit change for DD9, who doesn't like to walk around in wet clothes)
DHS--lunch at Sci-Fi, Great Movie Ride, Toy Story Mania, Playhouse Disney, time at Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set, and almost Tot (OK, DD13 and I chickened out once we got inside, but it was further than DH or DD9 got!)
MK--Haunted Mansion, Pirates, BTMRR, Splash Mtn (complete with another outfit change for DD9), Monsters, Inc., Buzz Lightyear, Many Adventures of Pooh, Carousel of Progress (an add-on), TTA, Mad Tea Party (?), Space Mtn, and dinner at Cosmic Rays during Wishes (we missed seeing it that night :( but we were on a mission)
Epcot--we lost DH and DD13 at this point...they were worn out (DD13 has Asperger's Syndrome, too, so this day was already a major accomplishment for her!) DD9 and I stopped and watched Fountain of Nations and then went on to ride Test Track before Epcot closed at 11pm that night

Are we glad we did it? YES! Will we do it again? Probably not! We were EXHAUSTED! By the time DD9 and I got back to the Beach Club, I had to take the elevator to the 2nd floor, b/c my legs were numb and I couldn't feel them anymore! DH and DD13 wished they could have made it...they probably could have if we hadn't added on a few attractions during the day (glad we added them, though) and if we hadn't run into transportation problems leaving MK (we left at closing, unfortunately, and couldn't find a quick way to Epcot...ended up taking the bus to Beach Club, our resort, and walking to Epcot). Fun thing--getting our picture taken as a family at all 4 parks (3 for DH and DD13) as our "proof" we were there. DD9 and I would LOVE to find a trading pin to commemmorate our 4 parks in a day! Very proud of DD9--it was a major thing for my little 9 year old to do all of that!!! What a great memory!

thanks for the comments everyone!:sohappy:

DisneyLeo18 and 4everDory your 4 park challenges sound great! It is a great feeling once you have done all that in a day. And yes I was exhausted. We did it on the last day of my 3 month International College Program and the next day I had to get up early to catch my flight and my muscles hurt so much:lol: It was worth it and one of my favorite days at Disney.

Really?

I'm not mocking your day, it sounds like you had a blast but what about Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Space Mountain? They are definitely more popular than Pooh, Buzz, and the Carousel.

Space Mt. was closed that day, according to the video (which I really enjoyed watching, by the way). :)

Like Wilt Dasney said Space Mountain was closed that day. We didn't pick Pirates and Haunted Mansion because even though they are popular, they never have a wait. We wanted to push ourselves and try and Buzz and Pooh done because they typically had longer waits. The Carousel was just an added bonus and didn't really count in the 'popular attraction' category.

Nice run of the parks. Not sure what the juggling has to with it though :)

I have done 4 parks + DtD a couple of times. I like capping it off by catching I:RoE AND Wishes. That is pretty much a luck thing. If you stay untill then end of I:RoE you have to hope that there are no monrail delays.

I did something like that once on my College Program, but it was not planned we just did whatever we felt like doing.

We started the day on the Magic Kingdom before opening by having breakfast at CP, then as we left the place the park was already open but not so crowded which gave us the opportunity to go to Space Mountain and the Barnstormer.

After that we decided to go to Animal Kingdom, since we were joined by some people who had never been to Disney and were only going to stay there for a day. We spent most of the day there and from what I remember we did EE, KRR, FoTLK and Dinosaur.

The park closed and we realized we had enough time to attempt to go to DHS and do both ToT and RnRC, we did it and by the time we entered the line of ToT a second time the CMs were already closing things up for the night. Then we figured we could not finish the night without a fireworks show so we walked to the Boardwalk, took the boat to EPCOT, did some walking around the world and then settled on the American Pavillion to wait for Illuminations.

It was a lot of fun because it was totally spontaneous; we decided on our destination as we went, and we ended up going to all parks by the end of the day. :sohappy:

That's pretty cool! I just try to enjoy it all when I go and "smell the roses" if you will. Ive done 3 parks in a day - MK, Epcot and Hollywood - doing essentially the same thing, riding the thrill rides, eating and moving on to the next. It less tiring if you take you time, wander and soak up the atmosphere. :king:
