4 Houston firefighters killed

It is with heavy heart that the Houston Fire Department is reporting the line of duty deaths of four firefighters and injuries to at least five. The tragedy occurred while operating at a four alarm fire in a hotel the roof collapsed on the firefighters who were working inside.
May God watch over our lost brothers, may he heal the injured and may he bring comfort to all the families who lost a loved one today.
Please say a prayer for them all.. May they rest in peace.

No problem. Although "Chit Chat" sounds trivial, we have posted, and discussed, far too many tragedies there over the years.

Such a horrible situation. I couldn't see it from my area, but supposedly the fire could be seen from certain parts of our tower in Greenway Plaza. My thoughts and prayers go out to HFD and all of the family and friends of the fallen and injured.

Were they trying to save people? It always makes me sick to my stomach to see these brave men put themselves in harm's way for property. So sad and tragic. Thoughts and prayers for their families.
