I actually think this one is just as believable, if not more, than what the NY one is. Take a look at the pic that looks down the street directly at it. it's almost ridiculous how good that is. Geniuses of forced perspective!

I've always been a huge fan of the NY street area, especially the whole forced perspective effect, so just to be seeing more of it put in to the backlot gets me really excited. I can't wait to see the 3 cities when they are all complete and refurbished.

...which brings me back to... WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CHICAGO? Why have we not heard or seen any progress made on this facade for such a long time? Is this still going to happen or not..?

^^Yea, I've been wondering what happened with the Chicago Skyline as well. One of the Disney Magazines mentioned the SOA area wouldn't be complete until the end of 2005, so I imagine its still on the drawing boards. I don't think the re-do of the San Fran facade was originally planned, so perhaps they are running a little behind on things (the new San Fran one, btw, looks A LOT better than the original...and I'm one of those who thought the first one looked good)

Well thats a lot more comforting, I was origionally under the impression that this was something that was supposed to be done around the same time as LMAX and ready for the start of the upcoming celebration. However, if what you say is true... then not having Chicago up yet is nothing to stress about. -Heck, take your time Disney! I'd rather have a top-notch looking SOA by the end of the year than a rushed one by May 5th.

Nice pics. I see they used real car models too. I see a Saturn, ......

Two of them, actually!... nose-to-end ( SC2 and a VUE... I have one of each . Spotted them right away!)
