I saw an ad on TV for the new 360 night time show at Universal and was wondering if this like Iluminations? And if anyone has seen the show, does it compare to anything at disney?

There was recently a large thread discussing this. So, I encourage you to search for more information.

I have not personally seen the show, but from what I hear, it's quite impressive. Even though it's a nighttime show, it takes a different approach (for one thing the globes hold projected images versus the LED Earth Globe for ROE). But, more importantly, the Universal show isn't as focused on fireworks and original music. Instead, it displays various montages of movie clips along with some pyrotechnics and other effects.

While comparisons can be made, they truly are separate experiences.

I'm sorry you misconstrued my comment as rude. It was not my intention, as I was simply trying to be informative.

I've seen it twice now, and can say that it's a great show. But don't expect all out fireworks, it's more like Fantasmic, where the fireworks are just a part of the show. I like how pretty much everywhere around the lagoon has a great view of the show. I've yet to have to fight the crowds to secure a spot. (Though i'd still say to arrive at least 15 minutes before showtime.) Anyways, great show. If you like watching movie clips set to music like me, then you'll love the show. (Think Great Movie Ride's ending, on a BIG scale!)
