30 days near the Magic: want to see it all, tips needed.

I'll be staying 30 days in Kissimmee next summer.(starting mid july)
I've bought a Premium annual pass. I know it's pretty hot at that time, so my plan is to go easy, parks in the morning, water park in the afternoon, fireworks at night. :slurp:
Any tip is welcomed!
I'm also looking for a dream spot for early morning jogging, like a lake surrounded by Disney hotels. What's a nice spot?

By the way, is it allowed to park in the Disney hotels, for free, when you have the Premium annual Pass?
Thanks for the info!

I believe the PAP gives you free parking at the parks. Parking at the resorts is reserved for resort guests. When you check-in, you are given a parking pass for your vehicle listing the dates you are staying at the resort printed on it. People who are dining at the resorts are given 3 hour passes to park at the resort to which they have a dining reservation i.e. Contemporary Resort for Chef Mickey's.

Parking at the resorts is really not allowed unless you are staying at the resort...even with a PAP. If you are looking for places to jog I would say the Epcot Resort area (BC, YC, BW) and the MK area with GF and Polynesian. Go in the early morning, jog, then either head back to where you are staying to shower or head to a park. But you can't leave your car there for the day.

Another couple nice places to jog would be SSR. It has a nice path around the lakes that I have also used for the Surrey bikes. Also along the river at POFQ/POR.

As for parking:

The Annual Pass entitles you to unlimited admission with park hopping privileges to the 4 Main Parks for 12 months with no blockout dates*. You also get complimentary parking in the theme park lots as well as the passholder benefits listed below on this page. Complimentary use of WDW transportation system - monorails, ferryboats, and motor coaches - is included. *Except activities/events separately priced.

Have a great time, we are all so envious!

Thx

Thank you all...but I don't recognize all the initials you used: BF etc
So, to go to these places, I understand that, by car, the best thing is to park near Transportation center and then take either a bus or monorail, right?

Is there a link here, about the advantages (official and unofficial, tips) concerning the PAPass? At a time, many years ago, I think I read there was like a lounge, for passholders, with free drinks etc. I wouldn't want to miss that! :slurp:

I dont know about a list with advantages and disadvantages but i think if you are planing on spending over 10 days in the Disney parks then its a cheap option! I dont know about a lounge i don't think there is.

ok

But i've just read someone mentioning the Explorer's Club....What's that?

On another subject, is it possible(I guess it is) to VISIT the different resorts, their shops and restaurants, even if you're not staying there? If so, are the resorts easily accessible by Disney Buses?

As I said, I intend to park hop as much as possible: theme park, water park, park again at night. Do you think I shoud go around by car (and park at the water/theme park lots, or use the Disney transportation system?

As to the water parks, is there a way to save money with the lockers?

Thanks again.

You are allowed to visit the resorts for shopping and eating, whether or not you're staying there.

As for anything being easy with Disney transportation (especially at the time you'll be there), I'd say your car would be the best bet. With an AP, you shouldn't be charged for parking, and you can get a visitor's parking pass at the resorts if you tell them you just want to tour (remember that they'd like you to stay there).

My tip is to be sure to do the Hoop De Doo Revue one night; it's a dinner show that plays at Pioneer Hall (Ft. Wilderness). It's kinda corny, but very enjoyable.

You're going to save yourself a lot of time by driving your own car from park to park. Since you're going to be there a whole month, you're going to become familiar very rapidly with the layout of the place, and you won't be hcarged for parking with a PAP.

Have a great time!

Check out tips on this forum regarding "Traveling in August" under trip planning...pretty much the same for July replies....some great tips there. (some from me...hehe)
Tip: buy water bottles at Walmart and make sure your room has a fridge/freezer to store them.

You are staying for ONE WHOLE MONTH?? LUCKY!!:):):):)
