Just wanted say we leave in 3 weeks (Oct 5-16th) and I'm about to bust my seams! Taking the 3 kids, 2 (boys) who've been before but now I have a little 4 yr girl and I can't wait to see her face. Staying at PORiverside so if anyone has any tips they can pass on, let me know. This is going to be a big trip for us $$$ so we want to make the most of it. Might as well enjoy yourself before bankruptcy court...huh?

I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside when it was still Dixie Landings. So that has been awhile. I don't think too much has changed. If it is still the same the Boatwright's Dining Hall has a very good breakfast, if you are interested in sit down dining. I also suggest the onion rings in the food court. YUM! You can also take the boat from the resort to Downtown Disney. It is a nice trip and you get to see the old Treehouse Villas. The resort is also nicely placed, so it doesn't take too long to get to any of the parks. I will warn you that the buses get pretty packed becuase there are so many people staying at the resort. But they usually send multiple buses when the parks open/close. Enjoy your trip. We will be at Old Key West at the same time (Oct 5-14). Disney here we come!!

I'll be at POR from the 6th through the 10th. I love boatwright's for breakfast, especially their bannana stuffed french toast.

First- welcome to the boards!

Now here is my advice-don't try to do everything- you won't be able to and you will just create crankiness. Instead- make a list of "must do" items and at least do all of those. Go at your child's pace- not yours because they tend to tire out even faster (at least from what I have seen in my own daughter)
Have a great time! Take tons of pitcures :)

Yes, we bought tickets to the MMNSSH for the 13th which is Thursday. I can't wait to see all the costumes...I'm already prepping my daughter that it's only make believe so she won't wig out. I'm really looking forward to this and have looked the boards over for valuable tips...everyone seems to have great ones with stories to share. We also signed on for the dining plan so if anyone has any thoughts on that...let me know. It seems like POR is pretty nice but mainly we are staying there for the price and because it accomodates 5 with the trundle. My husband and I will also be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary (with kids) so it should be pretty magical.

On your anniversary get pins and the cm's will shower you with attention and congrats. Do at least 1 character dining experience. If your daughter likes the princesses, I suggest breakfast or dinner at the Norway Pavilion at Epcot (Easier to get into than CRT and more characters). Listen to your children, when they are tired...rest! You are close by so running back to the hotel to take a nap is not a big deal...especially before doing MNSSHP.

Finally-----Have fun!!!!

3 weeks to go - now is the time for finalising your touring & park plans (the best part of any holiday without actually being there).
Have a great time
Happy Anniversary (3 weeks early)
