3 Questions for a Castmember...My Former Student works at WDW

As many of you know I am a professor at a small liberal arts college in NC. One of my former students (Courtney) works in the costumes area at WDW. She is part of the costuming crew that works on the Move it! Shake it! Celebrate it! Street Party or the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade.

She is also involved with Mickey’s Boo to You Parade and Celebrate the Season (the Christmas Castle Stage Show).

I teach art and design and she was a wonderful student and a perfect fit for Disney. She also looks remarkably like a particular character...(I'm not going to give it away but I think you will quickly figure it out).

It was fun to get some insights about working on parades and what it is like to work at the parks (without divulging any 'secrets').

How neat! I always thought it would be super cool to work at WDW! Buuuuut I'm a wuss when it comes to heat, so Colorado is my home.

Same here...I can't imagine working in that weather through the summer.

She emailed me a few days ago and told me that people were always stopping her to tell her she looks like Merida from Brave.

As a current Cast Member, all I can say is "if your a Disney nut, then being a Cast Member is like a fat kid in the candy store".
