hey there! we just went from 4nights AKL Kidani 1bedroom standard view to 1 night at pop, 4 nights at AKL Kidani 1 bedroom SAVANAH view(very excited to get a savanah view cuz since its was 40% off they didn't have any of them, but then 1 poped up so i snatched it up for $200 more though), then 1 night at all star music. we were going to stay offsite the night we arrive and the day we leave to go to key west for 2 days. we only have a 5 day park hopper on the DxDDP.
i guess my questions are
how is pop and music?
since we will not be goin to the parks for 2 days what should we do?
we also lied and said there will be only 4 of us(gonna make the 14year old sleep on the floor) has anyone got in trouble trying to do this?
whats the diffrence between perrfered room and standard?
we were going to eat at the worlds biggest Mcdonalds when we get off the plane but i think that i'll save that for the day we fly home.
where do u recommend eating the first night?

Pop: Since Pop opened, whenever I have gone on a trip with my mom we have always stayed here and we love it! And we're staying here when we go in September! The atmosphere is really neat with all the old memorabilia from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s in the lobby. And I love the icons for each of the themed areas.
Also, the food in their cafeteria is really good! The only thing that sometimes stinks is walking from the room to the main building. But we have gotten pretty lucky every time and have never had to walk very far. Also, I have never really had any complaints about the noises here at Pop, just the usual noises.

Music: My least favorite of all the all-stars. (Sports is the best in my opinion in terms of themes and such) We stayed at the all-stars always before Pop came around. The downside to here is I hate how there is usually one bus for all three all-star resorts. Its a pain to try to fight your way off a very filled bus coming back to the resort. Its the same set-up as Pop nothing different really, just Pop is more interesting I find.

And to answer your question about preferred rooms at the Pop, usually preferred rooms are closer to the main building, or first floor right in front looking out say onto the pool instead of in the back having a parking lot view.

Hope that helped!!

I have done this before as a "crash" hotel for the day coming in and on get away day and it was actually a great break up and made the trip seem longer for some reason. Pop Century and Music are both fun places for one day. Great music by the pool and for one day cant go wrong with either one. Those food courts are all the same really, cold eggs and bad coffee but you seem to know where to go for better dining options. In my opinion, Its all part of the fun of planning, exploring something new and the Disney Vacation experience....Have Fun.
