From what I was told, some mountain fragments were found in the moat, so they immediately drained it. They then optioned not to refill it until they discovered the source of the problem. Since they could not go on with the show without the moat, they quickly called for cancellation, and basically gave themeselves until the next morning to get eveything settled and begin refilling the moat.

How deep is the water and how long does it take to drain and then fill back up?

We were there on 3/18, and that was our planned night to watch Fantasmic, so unfortunately, we didn't get to see it this trip. Our bus driver told us that it was cancelled on the way to the park. He did it so abruptly and without apology, that I was waiting for the "Just Kidding," but unfortunately, he wasn't. We were disappointed, but we got to ride RRC and ToT several times anyway, so it was alright. We even rode ToT on a half-full elevator, which I've never done before.

Fantasmic is back up and running all week. There have been strong winds the last two days and they have still been running the show. I sat center ampetheatre about 10 rows from the back, and I left the show tonight absolutely soaked through from the water effects blowing directly into the audience from the wind. THe timing on the show looked fine tonight - there were several minor tech problems - one of the Indian boats torches were out - one of the character barges hit the front of the moat - several of the laser effects miscued (but at least they were there) -- All in all, it is still a wonderful show. Sorry it blew into my face all night though.
