Hi. My husband and I are planning our first trip to Disney World w/ our 3 children. Crowd wise which will be better June 9th-14th or August 19th-24th? Thanks :)

Hi, I can't really comment about June as we can't ever go then due to school holidays (we're in the UK) however when we do go we always aim for the last 2 weeks in August as it's starts to be a little 'quieter'. It's not really quiet but I think it's just not as crammed as during the American school holidays.

With regards to the water parks, it all depends on your preferences. 5 days for 4 parks and a waterpark would be tight and very packed if you wanted to try and do everything.

Our check in time for our room is 3pm. Can we visit the parks before then and then go back to the room to check in?
Yes. But even better, you can check in online up to 60 days before your arrival and skip the front desk altogether. When your room is ready you will be texted the room number. Easy!

We’ve done second week in June and it’s not bad. The heat in Florida is pretty brutal, so August would probably be hotter than June. We had a really nice week of temps in the 80s when we went last June, but it was a total fluke and not normal.

We went mid August in 2014 and the crowds were not bad and while it was hot it was not stifling. In 2016 we went in mid June and the heat and humidity were brutal and the crowds were ridiculous. I would opt for August if that was possible but because of school it is no longer possible We are going this year beginning June 10 for 10 days. Hoping for reasonable crowds and half way decent weather.

wdw1sttimer: 5 Days is plenty of time, I would stay away from the Hollywood Studios since its a large construction zone, unless there is something DIEHARD you want to see! Great Movie Ride is closed until 2019(?), there is a HUGE emphasis on Star Wars. So with no Studios, that gives you an extra day to do 1 Water Park or 2nd day at a park! The choice is yours! Have a great time!
