Only place I've visited more than once and came away with a big "MEH" was the San Angel Inn. I love, love, love the decor and ambiance. Food has always been a mess though.
I believe the menu was overhauled since I last ate there (in 2008), so we'll see.
But as of now, there are way too many options to even think about going back.
Two places I've had disappointing dinners at are Chefs de France and Rose and Crown but I'd like to give each a chance again....just not this December when I'm there.
I've always had a table service lunch(and dinner) at DHS. What's the beef with ABC Commissary?
ABC is Vile
I have been on the fence about San Angel as well. Last time I was there was before the overhaul and it was not good and with so many great options at Epcot it is hard to go back. I however need to make it a point to go there again in the near future as I hear it has improved a great deal.Only place I've visited more than once and came away with a big "MEH" was the San Angel Inn. After reading a post about a bad experience in a restaurant and stating they'd never go back my first thought is - "That seems harsh, why not give it a second chance?" I have this thought especially when the complaint is about the staff and not the food. Then I remember that we have never gone back to Pizza Planet after not enjoying the food or atmosphere there. We've not even considered trying it again. But now I wonder, do you give a place a second chance or is it crossed off your list for good? And if it is crossed off for good what was it that made you make that decision?
We might try Pizza Planet again in the future but it will probably be after we've tried all the other restaurants in HS first.
Unless we hear some sort of sweeping changes I do not think we are headed back to Chefs De France anytime soon. It is not terrible but we have had fine french cuisine and I can honestly say that the food there falls far short of the mark. It is not awful...just disappointing, so for that reason after two chances I do not think we are headed back since there are sooooo many other choices.
My mother and youngest daughter love Marrakesh!! They say the food is great and the show is fantastic. I agree with you on the buffet, while we have never tried it, we have atken a peek and decided against.I did Marrakesh this year, and the food was quite good. The kid (age 7) enjoyed the show, too.
Germany, I don't like much, and think that the Quick Service stand outside has much better food. The food is cafeteria style, and not very authentic at all. Then again, I grew up in Germany, so I tend to make my own food...so maybe I'm not being fair.
The show there, however, is very fun!
We have never tried Le Chefs, and have never had authentic French cuisine either. With that in mind, the fact we love Le Cellier, Bistro, and are not that hard to please, is this place worth a try? In 2013 when Le Cellier is 2 TS all day?Agree 100%

What could they change about Teppan? I have pondered this many times and can't come up with anything other than maybe Mulan (some are cringing at the thought of another character/princess meal). I agree with the thought there is not enough separation between it and anything local to one's city.with ddp forcing most Ts reservations to be made as close to 180 out I can see why some stick to the never again philosophy. Why chance it when there are soooo many other options. Especially in our society which is in a perpetual " always greener" mentality.
That said, I have a never again cs and Ts. Both of which are rather popular. They are Pecos bill and teppan Edo. Pecos has the uncomfortable seating going against it as well as subpar food. People, if u have to throw the fixins bar at me you lose. A turd topped with nacho cheese and sautéed mushrooms is still a turd. And then there is teppan. Scale of 1-10 the service was an 8-9. The food was 7-8. But if you are going to have something in Disney that you can find in any number of places throughout the country, it needs to have something that puts it over the top. So, until they have the country bears making the onion volcano, I will be in Morocco, Italy, or Germany.
I know!! We have a Dec ressie and don't know what to expect. Should we roll the dice and keep it? OR swap to Le Chefs?Bistro is changing so its hard to know yet?

Now that I think about it, should we be looking at the choice as 1) Bistro or 2) Les Chefs + another TS (Maybe Le Cellier for lunch for "free")?? We could always hit R & C for the first time with our "free" TS?
