25th Anniversary for all?

I've been thinking about this for a while now. Are they going to make a big celebration for the 25th anniversary of Epcot in 2007 or was the big celebration just for MK since it was the first Disney park in FL?

It's kinda a long ways away, isn't it? But seriously, dosn't Disney make a BIG deal about EVERY Big anniversary? I can't imagine what they COULDN"T do for Epcot, you know.

i think that it depends on the whole Gemini Project. If WDW dedicates themselves to Epcot over the next few years, then maybe 2007 will be a a good year to showcase it all with alot of 25th anaversary stuff.

OR

It will be doing well enough with out it, and WDW will spend its cash on something else

OR

They do nothing about epcot, and use the 25th to pull guests in.

All depends on what goes into that park after M:S

Hey!
No, I think Disney is going to make a big deal about it! I really hope they do too! Epcot is such a great theme park it deserves it's celebration just like any other park or person!

One thing I've noticed is that Disney will have a celebration for just about ANY event! I've noticed that any time a major new attraction or park hasn't recently opened, there's some sort of celebration. So, my guess is that, if they don't have anything big coming up (especially at Epcot), the answer would be yes. But if something big happens then (fifth gate anyone? Sixth gate by then? :)), then probably not.

Isnt 2007 is when the time racer thing is suppose to open.

i hope they have a celebration but the MK celebration seemed very long. And i dont want the big ball painted like a giant cake like the castle was.

Lol! How about an upside down ice-cream cone? Just stick the sorcerer's hat from Disney-MGM Studios on top of the big ball and voila! Or maybe it could be transformed into a giant rum ball. Mmmmm...rum. :slurp:

my question is what is WDW's "tag" gonna be when the whole 100yr thing is over. Comming up w/ clebrations has been all to easy for them in the past the had the 25th, the millenium and then Walts 100yrs all in a row....what now? there are maybe 10 t shirts in stores right now clelebrating 75 yrs of Mickey and In kno Tinker Belle just turned 50, but neither of those are major enought to throw a resort wide celebration really...is disney just goin to have to go back being a celebration-less place like it used to be? might be nice to not have banners and specially printed napkins in ur face 24/7 again...i guess they'll just have to stick with "the place to be in 2003" for now.:wave:
