Well 14 days planning is exhausting, so 21 is a challenge...ADRS would be the biggest challenge..With 21 days under your belt, you have plenty of time to be in slow mode..Take it all in..Shows etc..I have friends who stayed on site last year for 14 nights yet managed to miss Illuminations at Epcot..And...Wait for it...Missed POTC....

I always did my planning in blocks. Two blocks per day, morning and afternoon. Always a break in the middle.

If I stayed late in a park for fireworks, the next morning was labeled "Zzzzzz" so we could sleep in.

I'd spend two of the three weeks at the GF and the other week at Portofino Bay Hotel. During that week, I'd do Uni, Sea World and Gatorland. I'd base myself at PBH for everything that wasn't Disney because its so much nicer than the GF. If you're doing Uni...and with three weeks, you should!...you should stay in a Uni hotel. Uni hotels have the FOTL thing, which means you can sleep in and still go on everything without having to run around like a crazy person - just go from one ride to the next...no appointments to keep, no crossing the park to ride something. Just pleasant and relaxing.

PBH even has a Quiet Pool where there "No Children" thing is enforced. It's the smallest of the pools at PBH, but is heavenly.

You didn't say when you were going. If you're visiting during rainy season, you will want to do as much as you can in the mornings.

I'd squeeze in at least one Disney tour, see the Blue Man Group and visit Downtow Disney (or Disney Springs).

Carey Poppins - Nanny and Disney Enthusiest
Hi Everyone

Staying at the GF in an outer theme park room.
Wife, myself and a 19 year old young man who is our son.
21 day Ultimate WDW Ticket
Orlando Flex Ticket
How would you all plan the itinerary?
What would you say we CANNOT MISS OUT ON?

All thoughts welcome

Many thanks

J

OMG! Jealous! 3 weeks at my favorite resort! I would plan it out based on what you want to do, where you want to eat and the ADR's you get and I would use touring plans to help guide you to which park on which day. August can be very busy.

As for can't miss - do you mean in the parks or around Orlando?

Wow! Happy planning! This is awesome! :)

Wow 21 days at Disney and at the GF....getting close to my ultimate summer fantasy, just add a week at PCB or Siesta Key...maybe a weekend cruise from Cape Canaveral down to Nassau and I liked the idea of a week at one of the UNI hotels, love Loewes properties...

Wow. Need someone else to accompany you? :)
Take tours of the parks, make sure you plan days where you relax and sleep in (not too many though!).
Write down the things you HAVE to do and put that down on paper. Also write down all the places you want to eat that require a reservation and plan those accordingly. Most of the time, where you schedule your reservations determine on what park(s) you need to visit that day. There is a lot of planning involved, but wow, so much fun being at WDW for 3 weeks! It should be at a slower pace, but don't forget anything!

Really one of the things you can truly enjoy that others cannot is exploring all the dinning options. I would try to eat somewhere different every day. Check out the shopping and outlets as well
