Isn't that what Fantasyland is all about?

True but why add two teacup rides, two spinning rides, two kiddie coasters...all within steps of each other. Although from the pics i've seen ML is beautiful. Unless they put in different rides, the entire area is pointless. Personally I enjoy Fantasyland, and would love to see a lil' mermaid dark ride, a villains ride and anything else added to FL. But ML is not the answer.

Well, the official rides at TDS are:
-Flounder's Flying Fish Coaster- sure we have one almost like it, but this one looks cooler
-Scuttle's Scooters- also outdoors, so I wouldn't count on this one either
-Jumpin Jellyfish
-Blowfish Baloon Race- Dumbo-like
-The Whirlpool- Teacups

Although the rides don't have much to them, they really add to the atmosphere. It looks like the biggest attraction in the Lagoon is the show. Also, the land includes a playground...which I remember reading that it was really big, and had some haunted house-type areas like Ursula's Grotto and the Shipwreck with sharks. That sounds pretty cool. The purpose of Mermaid Lagoon at TDS is basically it's Fantasyland. Since most of these rides are already covered in the MK, I can't see them building this land unless it included something unique, like a dark ride. Although the 20K lagoon seems to be the perfect place for ML, I would imagine something mostly for kids like this getting built at AK, which doesn't have much just for kids. Even if they built it exactly the same, Im sure it would be really popular, and help with all the crowds who constantly swarm Fantasyland.

Why Not

Overcrowding in Toon Town was mentioned...

Why not add Disneyland's "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" or "Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin" to the MK's Toon Town? Both attractions, Car Toon Spin in particular, are popular at DL in CA.

Ummmm, probably because the Winnie the Pooh ride is right in front of the 20,000 Leagues under the sea area already at WDW. They only destroyed Mr. Toad to put it there.
