Good morning!
This promises to be another perfect-weather day here in Vancouver. As with yesterday, we have no concrete plans, so we are going to meander again and let our legs take us to wherever.
Yesterday was quite enlightening. We walked through Chinatown, had lunch there, and then walked through Gastown, as you saw in the picture. We had never been to Vancouver Chinatown. Walking through it was eye-opening, especially toward to northern end near the courthouse. It looked very run-down and the sidewalk was full of homeless people. Yet, one or two blocks away, there are these slick and expensive-looking apartments/condos. And of course, just a few minutes walk away, you have the sought-after Gastown.
The one thing that I have noticed so far is that, I have never seen a higher density of Tesla anywhere else that I have traveled. Heck, we even got into a Tesla for the first time when we Uber'ed to Granville Market (had to figure out how to open the darn door!). We started playing "count the Tesla" as we walked. This is not a political comment, just an observation.
We were contacted by our new DVC rep yesterday. Our two previous DVC reps all retired. The new rep will be on the cruise and we have made loose plans to meet up with her. This year marks the 20th anniversary of us becoming DVC members (throws Mickey head confetti into the air). Shouldn't we get some freebies for that?
I'd better get ready to go. We have to decide a different place to have breakfast this morning. Time to power up Google Maps.

We are back in our room to relax a bit. The day is similar like yesterday in terms of temperature, but it is a bit more humid than yesterday. My sweat did not evaporate like it did yesterday.
We stopped by an H-Mart. We've been there before and it reminded me how small it is compared to the ones we have back home. Of course, this one is located right in the middle of the city where real estate is expensive.
Since we had a rather large breakfast, we will probably skip lunch and just go for an early dinner. Still have no idea where we will go, and considering that this is Saturday evening, most places may be very busy.

Today is our last full day in Vancouver. It is going to be cloudy and a bit cooler than yesterday.
We have no plans today other than wait for our friends from Texas to arrive and then meet up with them for an early dinner. We plan to pack up and turn in early today.

Looking forward to seeing more of your report. Vancouver/Alaska cruise is on our short list of possible vacation places for next year, this may help me decide.
We are actually being lazy today. Had a light bfast at a nearby Starbucks, then went to a drugstore to buy more flossers, which I forgot to refill before our trip. We are now just chilling in the hotel lobby while housekeeping cleans our room.
We don’t expect to hear from our friends for another hour or so. I hope they take the sky train to get here. The Vancouver pride parade starts at 1 today and traffic is going to be awful with the road closures.

Our friends got in safely. Their flight was delayed by an hour.
We met up with them and had dinner at Japadog. Sorry, no pics since I was way too busy yapping away.
We are back in our room now, resting a bit before I have to start packing. We will have time to have a leisurely breakfast tomorrow. We don't plan on leaving the hotel till about 10:45 am. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to get to Canada Place by cab.
