It's been reported online for a few weeks that vacation packages and room-only reservations for 2017 would be available online starting today, June 21. I'm trying to reserve for March 2017, but cannot go past December 31, 2016 in the reservation calendar. Anyone else have better luck?

We just booked for the first week in March with no problem. Then wanted to go ahead and book early November but that is outside the 499 day thresh hold .Can't imagine why you're having difficulty. Good luck

Better off with the phone call to get the advance reservation. While the prices will be of 2016 it will then show your difference when the next year comes..I do this when I book.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Phone you can book room only up to 499 days in advance if you're having trouble being you're in Canada. If you want a package online you may have to wait longer to do so being in Canada. :)

Any idea where to just find the rates? I am not inside that 499 but I would like to figure out what will be the best deal so proper rates would be great!

No deals will be out that far in advance it will be the full rack rate you can book that far out anyway. Just look at the rate the time of year you want to go that is available now to see for a different year, and prepare for that price or a little more as prices do go up yearly. Then if an offer for a discount etc comes out several months before your dates then so much the better. :)

I meant for the rack rate and comparing the costs for my family in a bunch of different rooms. There are 6 of us (one under 3still when we go) so I have a lot of numbers to crunch and right now I am working with old numbers. But when I googled I found things that were projections posted in 2015 and not next years actual numbers. I just thought someone may have better google-fu than I.

Yes that's what I was suggesting look on WDW's site at dates in 2017 that are close to what your dates will be. If your dates are in 2017 as of today if you are in the US you can see all of 2017 as of today. If you need 2018 just estimate by looking at the dates in 2017 that correspond to your 2018 dates etc etc. But all of 2017 dates Through 12/31/17 are out with prices to book on WDW's website today so you can go on there to see prices. :)

I tried... (and it is 2017 that we are going for, just end of November so 30 days or so too soon to "book") and all it showed was that there were no rooms available. :(

Then look at this year in November with the similar dates to see prices. Did you look on the actual full website not the mobile one etc? But again if it's not there just look at this years prices to get a good idea. Just make sure to choose the regular rates not the deals it automatically chooses to show you etc. :)

I just pulled up different November dates in 2017 just now and it brought up rooms no problem with prices at most resorts. Now granted over 499 days you only get a starting price and can't book yet but go by that starting price at the resort you want and also look at this years prices for your exact room you want to prepare for next year.:)

I had to go all the way back to an august date to get it to work *shrug* but I discovered something. If you pick a particular hotel and put in any date of travel it will pull up all of the available room types. Click on the blue rate details button and it breaks it down by day but also has another blue link that says view seasonal pricing. If you click that it will show you all of the days pricing that have been released so far, so right now through december 2017.

I was a bit frustrated this morning when I found out you can only book in advance 499 days from departure. I didn't know that was a thing.
