2016 Unofficial Guide vs. the 2015 edition

I see the differences laid out here: http://touringplans.com/unofficial-guide but how much different does the new version really bring (using prior years as a basis?)

I'm going to WDW in November and a big blowout in April. The November trip is just a quick weekend shot down to Orlando. QS meals all the way, where as April I want to make sure we try to squeeze a lot in. Should I wait for the 2016 edition?

I usually buy books on the Kindle and/or iBooks at this point but read somewhere that the kindle version of this book is not good. Any information on that aspect would also be appreciated.

2016 version will be out in just a few weeks. You said you are not going until November, so it seems it could not hurt to wait on it. I just ordered the 2015 version, but would have waited for the new one if I had the time.

I just pre-ordered the 2016, always better to wait for the new one if you have the time

I absolutely swear by The Unofficial Guide and we always buy an up-to-date edition when we're in the planning stages of our trips. That said, we only get to go to WDW every three years on average, therefore an updated version is essential.

The 2016 edition is an up-to-date version of the 2015 edition, and most of the text is simply reproduced. While the Unofficial Guide is an excellent companion to have close by to refer to, a lot of it is out of date before it hits the shelves (due to Disney's constant changes). Buy either edition but use the internet to be 100% up-to-date

Thanks for considering the book, @maflynn.

My advice would be to get the 2016 edition, on Kindle. It's got updated CS reviews, touring plans, hotel info, and more. Plus, we're updating the Kindle edition on a more-or-less monthly basis. As things change between now and your April trip, we'll make sure the book is current. (If the Kindle edition doesn't work for you, I'll send you a PDF or hard copy - your choice.)

Besides updates, we've restructured the entire book for the 2016 edition to make it easier to use. The dining and theme park chapters are now closer to the front. The Disney Cruise chapter gets moved toward the back, and we consolidated the shopping and nightlife texts into a new "Disney Springs" chapter (with CityWalk). All of the recreation and spa stuff gets moved into its own chapter, too, instead of being spread out across multiple chapters. And we added a bunch of new planning and budgeting content to the first 2 chapters.

That's good to know that the Kindle version is being updated. I prefer buying ebooks at this point in time and as long as the kindle version is on par with the printed version that would be my preference. I saw @CaptainAmerica's response above which is similar to what he posted somewhere else so getting some feedback on the kindle version was crucial
