2016 Price Question

Hello all, my parents-in-law announced over the weekend that they would like to take the family down to WDW next spring as a surprise gift. Awesome surprise obviously. They wanted me to price out a few resorts for the week of March 27th through April 2 and report back on prices. Just pricing a room (1 room) for my wife and I and our 2 kids (8 and 5) for the week of 3/27/2016 - 4/2/2016 a few prices the Disney website returned are (per night):

Animal Kingdom Lodge - $1,297
Contemporary Resort - $1,590
Old Key West - $903
Boardwalk - $1,046
Wilderness Lodge - $985

I haven't priced rooms since 2011. I would need to get 2 rooms per night but the prices returned like a per night of $1,590 for the Contemporary are...unexpected.

Any thoughts on if these are the actual prices that will stay or if these might be transcription errors?

Are you sure you're running the correct room categories for what you want? I just checked your dates for AKL and your price of $1297 per night is for a Standard View-1 BR Suite-Club Level Access. Regular Standard room is $479/night and Pool view is $538/night, Your Contemporary rate of $1,590 is for a Garden Wing - 1 Bedroom Suite Access. The price for a regular Garden Wing room is $571 per night.

I would think you are correct based on what I would expect from the price ranges quoted. I am going straight to disneyworld.com and checking prices on that date range with 2 adults and 2 under 9 children and then searching All Resorts. I just went back and set the same parameters and am choosing only Deluxe Resorts but the only options it returns are the ones listed in my first post.

I see pricing for Villas as well but those are separate prices from what I listed.

Are you actually selecting the resort and looking at the room options?
This worked for me, thank you so much. The main page of disneyworld.com is defaulting to the prices listed (bad form Peter) and the way to see lower prices is by clicking on the resort itself in the initial search. Saved me a lot of time!

@disneyflush the dates you are considering fall the week of Easter, one of the busiest times of the year. That is a reason room prices are so high (as it is categorized as peak season).

Can you be more flexible with your dates in order to save $$ and experience fewer crowds?
