With the holidays mostly underway and attending MVMCP on Nov 8, I noticed some differences in this year's Christmas parade and wondered what others had noticed. Nov 8 was a rainy night, so the parade was slightly modified.

Notable differences:
  • Introduction of the car to the Wreck-It Ralph segment
  • Gingerbread cookies no longer rise on the baking float
  • Modified Frozen segment, Olaf no longer has skaters
  • For the rain show, Cinderella's carriage and the Princess float were pulled
  • For the rain show, Toy Soldiers did not carry their instruments
  • Only 1 rocking horse at the start of the Toy Land segment
  • Duffy was missing from Mickey and Minnie's float
  • No more Little Bo Peep
Anyone else notice other changes? Were some of these just due to rain the night I was there?

Yes
Not too many changes this year, it seems. It's pretty depressing how much has been cut from the Christmas parade over the years. Dozens of performers were cut from the finale alone since the premiere of the Once Upon A Christmastime version, which was already a huge cutback from the Very Merry parade of years past.

I was there on nov 10 and noticed that it was so crowded it was pointless to go. Ive gone in the past and thought it was totally worth it but this time was pure misery with crowds
